I’m happy the way this product went down. I’ll be even more happier if it lasts for several years. It’s a very thick paint that requires several coats to fill in 1/4” gaps. It filled them in when it’s wet and shrinks when it dries.

Definitely two coats required. Great coverage and color true to swatch. We used the cedar. A nice slip resistant finish. Applied just a week age so haven't yet tested durability. Sorry, no before and after pics. But you would for sure be impressed.

Call the company or read their website as to how to prepare your deck before using this product. If you prepare it properly, you will not be disappointed. Deck-A-New covers well and fills most cracks. My decks look great.

I haven't had it on my deck long enough to tell how durable it is. It was VERY difficult to apply. I had to do a small section with a brush and then go over it with the special roller. It does do a very good job of filling cracks and holes but no where near the claim of "almost 1/4 inch". My deck is 187 square feet and it used almost 4 gallons. I did one coat with a brush and one coat with a brush followed by a roller.

Great, thick stain!
I put two coats down on a 1000 square foot deck. Used about 1 and 2/3 of two five gallon buckets. Looks great. SW Michigan; we'll see how long it lasts. I thoroughly power washed the 10-year-old deck first. Brushed the whole deck with a 3.5" brush for both coats. Lots of work but it really came out great. A little dark shade of cedar but it still looks great! Definitely would recommend if it lasts 10 years or more.

Good so Far
This stuff covers as advertised. It is very thick paint. I put it on about two weeks ago, so we will see how long it lasts. I have not painted the lattice skirt around the deck yet since it is so thick, I anticipate a lengthy project to get this done with a brush. My deck is over 800 sq ft and we used rollers and brushes for the application.

Goes on Thick, but does the job!
After reading so many bad reviews for similar products, and seeing this product had a pretty good number of positive reviews, I went ahead and purchased this product. IT IS THICK, so double what you think you will need. Also, in some cases, adding a little water helps the product get deep into cracks.

The best option for deck resurfacing
I was debating whether or not to replace my deck boards as they were fairly worn and cracked. During the research process, I came across Deck-A-New and decided to give it a try. I am glad I did! The product goes on very thick and fills in most of the normal cracks caused by normal weathering. It is extremely strong and very scratch resistant as long as you prepare the surface properly. I highly recommend running either an orbital or belt sander across the surface to ensure any loose stain is removed. This will also ensure the surface is "scuffed" for proper adhesion. As long as you do this, the product will serve you well. Note: This product has a very sandy surface. It does look like this is an online only purchase. I ordered and had it sent to the local HD store. Shipping was very fast and I am extremely satisfied with the entire process. Highly recommend!
