Fantastic window AC
This smaller sized unit packs a punch. Very nice and quiet on low setting for nighttime and sleeping and can really pump out ice cold air during the afternoon. Easy to operate and I prefer the manual stye controls over the digital ones. Comes with easy to understand installation instructions and one last thing that's very important... it sips electricity, making it's operation friendly to your wallet!

Works great. Wish the numbers were translucent so I could turn it off at night without turning on my lights, or had a remote control. Using it in a medium bedroom.

Good little unit
Works great. Simple yet effective. Installs pretty easy, nice if there's two people doing it. Cools the whole apartment so-so. Would get a second one if there was another window that was compatible. Tyx Danby!

Broken and damaged sad😢
Please cancel this registration. When opened it was severely damaged. Obvious that it was dropped by courier. Screw out, dented, oil leak. It is being returned and new unit ordered.

Can't keep up
This A/C came installed in a 20 ft camper we bought used. This A/C struggles to keep up when the outside temp is 90+. I can't say it's the a/c's fault and probably poor insulation and draft control in the camper. Either way, it's compact enough to fit the hole so I'm buying a new knob and new filter. I will likely be upgrading the A/C with another Danby unit.

Lifesaver!
Got through the first heatwave of the season in a south-facing 160 square foot studio, keeping the air temperature at 21 degrees celsius on dial no. 6 (with blinds closed). I live in Ottawa, so with the humidity it was as high as 37 degrees outside for two days straight. So far I'm impressed! Small but powerful.

Can be adjusted for horizontal sliding windows
Powerful enough to reasonably cool my studio apartment. Was able to install in a horizontal sliding window by covering the remaining openings with cardboard and duct tape, and using provided foam. Hangs out onto a balcony tilted slightly downward to allow for water to drain, but there has never been any water. NOTE: filter comes out the right side of the unit (when looking at it straight on), so if you have it too close to a wall on that side, you won't be able to change the filter without removing unit from window.

Over ten years !!
We had this exact model for over ten years and it works perfectly. Regular use during the summer ( almost every day , 3,5 hours ) and esporadically in the winter ( always cold temperatures, never the heat ) and so far , never a problem.

Low quality terrible noise after 1 year
Used this for one summer worked fine. A year later the motor bearing had already rusted and make terrible noise, not usable anymore. I think they do that on purpose so that the bearing rusts and you have to buy a new unit, or they just want to maximize their profit so they save on a rust proof bearing, they should be ashamed of this product.
