I bought my first DW621 in 2000 and my second in 2010. The first was used both free hand and in a router table for the first ten years, then left in the table until 2020. The only part needing replacement on it was the speed control. These models have plenty of power and I've even spun a 3" diameter raised panel bit with no difficulty. I bought the second one just so I could leave the first in the table. The dust collection is outstanding and the edge guide for these is one of the best I've ever used. The only thing I would ever want to see added would be LED lighting over the bit.

I use this in my router sled to plane out tons of hardwood. It will run, non stop, for a few hours. Tons of power, no breakdowns, good dust collection; what more could you ask for?

Performs exactly as expected. High quality all the way.

I tried other plunge routers and they were all flimsy. That includes Bosch, Triton. This router is dead steady locked or not. I am using it on Leigh for tenon/mortises and precision is important for me. I have to say, I got it off Amazon first and it was defective. The one I got from HD was perfect. There seem to be quality control issues.

I have owned 3 of these and used in a semi-professional shop for 15 years. They do the jobs well, but ALL of them had problems with the speed control and I am now down to 1. They are not repairable at a reasonable cost, the control module is outrageous especially since it barely works only for a few years. The only reason I recommend this router is because digital controls have taken over EVERY mechanical device from refrigerators to alarm clocks and you simply cannot get any product without them.

I frequently do tasks that call upon the trusted router. The Dewalt being one of the best. Allowing fine adjustments and ease of transferring the motor to the multiple bases is quick. Would recommend the guides as a wonderful addition.

I purchased this router for my dad as a gift. Not being a handywoman myself, the staff at the Belleville HomeDepot were very helpful and pleasant. My dad seems to enjoy this model quite a bit. He has used it on a number of occasions and feels that it will last a long time. The quality is top notch, which is exactly what you would expect of Dewalt. Although expensive when compared to the alternatives, it is worth the extra money!

I find that depth adjustment lock works great not like the cheap ones that move and change depth while your using them. Vacuume attachment is a great bonus and helps keep your work area clean. This unit is expensive but I guess you get what you pay for.
