This is as close as you can get to original. It will work but the original stem valve has an extra feature at the bib washer end that allows it to rotate when the washer contacts the vlave seat. It help prevent premature wear on the rubber washer. I'm sure it would cost more to reproduce like original and I have not been able to find original reproduction part. This will be sufficient but be prepared for the washer to wear out faster than it would have on original.

This stem is the one I needed to fix my shower faucet and I plan to order 1 more for a spare. It came with the seat too.

It was great to find replacement parts for these old faucets still being produced. As an aftermarket replacement, I am impressed with the fit and finish of the stem. Got me back up and running with no issues.

Had to order this replacement faucet stem in the store as it was one not normally stocked. Service person in plumbing dept helped identify correct part. Received the part as ordered very timely. Very good quality. Perfect replacement for worn part.
