Easy replacement of the diverter valve . Hint : Make sure that you have removed all of the old unit before inserting new cartridge Compare old unit with new first.. Clean opening with a small toothbrush and clear vinegar and flush with water. You do not have to turn off water supply when preforming this repair. Water flows only when you turn the hot or cold water with the faucet handles.

The part, although very hard to locate for purchase, is easily installed and seems to be working ...
The part, although very hard to locate for purchase, is easily installed and seems to be working fine (my skills as a v-e-r-y basic plumber notwithstanding). I'm hoping it lasts longer and stays assembled better than the part it replaced. If I need another replacement, I now know where to look.
