Thiis umbrella base looks to be very light duty to me. All umbrella bases that I have and have had in the past, have been much heavier. Although I have not put this new umbrella base into service yet, I am concerned about it's ability to anchor the umbrella. I think this umbrella base is big on style but a little weak on substance.

The Thomasville Crystal Umbrella Base is very well made. Assembly was easy. I highly recommend.

This umbrella stand in not only extremely sturdy but very stylish.
