The first and largest complaint is that it is very fragile while in pieces. A couple of the larger pieces broke while removing them from the box. Assembled, the house is stronger; how strong time will tell. There is no door stop so the door freely swings both in and out of the house. I will probably add a latch. My concern is that the wind will eventually break the door. For the money, i should have bought the lumber and built one. The size was a surprise, but that was my fault. This is for VERY young or small children.

I bought this house at the end of last summer. When it was delivers the box was destroyed. We had a hard of a time getting it together . When pieces started falling apart we thought we are handy we can fix it.. Nope.. The whole thing is held together by staples. All the wood is less than an inch thick..so when you put screws in you have to be careful not to split the wood..we thought we had it. Over the winter my mom just touched the side with the plastic boxes and it just fell off the whole wall. And as we are trying to fix this the rest of it wants to fall apart.worst buy ever I wasted my money I wish I could return this and buy a plastic one. But Home Depot is an hour away and I no longer have a receipt..this doesn't deserve stars.

This house is Super cute in the photos. We splurged and bought it for our 3 year old daughter's birthday who was turning 4. Was so excited to get it and put it together so that it would be all ready for her birthday surprise. when I opened up the package and starting to put it together some of the peaks of the house fell off so I had to get out other tools to fix it (that were not required) I then noticed that 2 of the pieces they used had knots in the wood that were completely out. SO there were holes in the wood. My house was also not all painted. Some of the white pieces were just plain wood on one side,and the ones that were painted looked like it got a light coat of paint that you could still see the wood through the transparent paint. I kept looking past these things until after 4 hours of putting it together realized they forgot to put in 10 pieces to the house. All major things in putting on the roof and the last peak of the house. So my daughter's birthday came and went and all she saw was an unfinished house sitting in the backyard. I will be returning this item after many days of my little girl looking at the "present" she was supposed to get so now have a very sad little girl ,but refuse to deal with another house.....So now I get to take it all apart so that I can return it! So Completely unhappy!

This playhouse is perfect for our 2 yr-old granddaughter...she has played in it everyday since they got it together. It seems to be very sturdy and was easy enough to put together. The hardest part was the "foundation" so it would be level and sturdy. We used rubber tiles for the flooring. We would recommend this playhouse for toddlers.
