this power surge works great
I have already bought 2 and I have my 50 gallon fish tank plus all of its accessories on it and it works great. The other one I have my flat screen uverse box, phone charges and alarm clock on it and everything works perfectly without any problem

Loved the way it can segregate the 'linked' components that need be switched off and the others that need not
Though I haven't had any power surge or the equipment to determine if the product works well in stopping the surge, I am confident in relying on Belkin's name.
I have the TV as my main component and the power-off of all the linked components (currently AVR, Blue-ray, cable-box) is a great feature. It take a second for the linked components to turn off their power. (I initially had my subwoofer also linked but was irritated with a thump that comes out everytime the power is turned off/on. So, I delinked it and have it on the slot that allows it constant power.)
Love the product and would highly recommend it!

must have... genius idea
I 've had this product for over a year now... works flawlessly... and by automatically cutting power to my HDTV and other home theatre components when I turn off one component (usually my PC), my electricity bill has dropped $20 to $25 a month. Highly recommended... good for the planet and the wallet.

This product saves money!
Connected TV set and home entertainment system to this power strip. When the TV is turned off, the home entertainment system is powered down.
Testing with Kill-a-Watt shows a reduction of 100 watts over turning everything off with only the remote control.
Over a year, this amounts to 730kw or $219 per year assuming the TV is used 4 hours per day.
