I purchased this product in May 2015. First the pictures were purple and now the Defender DVR does not even come on!

This is a solid system. Easy to use. All the menu and setting pages are way too understand. Had trouble at startup but Daniella helped me through it all and it went great! Very happy

We purchased this for a new addition to our garage. Although we did not install all cameras, we feel we have every angle covered and even have space inside under Defender's watchful eye. Perfect system with add-to capability. Highly recommended!

I bought this system 5 months ago it is GREAT. I had a problem with some of my camera's call customer support talked to Daniela . She solved my problems . I bought this system about 3 months ago and it is a great system with great color and pictures.

I bought this a couple of months ago and have enjoyed the benefits greatly. I started with the original 8 cameras and have since added a few inside as well. I now know that my pup sleeps the day away. The quality is good and the only downside is it was a bit tricky to upload footage.

I bought this less than a month ago. I thought it was very easy to install and easier to use. I wish the resolution was a little higher, but its definitely worth what I paid.

I got this system 7 months ago and how nice. Picture is so clear and great night vison also. Very easy to install and I'm just so happy with it. i have installed 5 of these for my friends also and tell people to only buy defender. This model is so good because having 8 camera's now and can add up to 8 more if needed. Every home is not the same so you can add camera's to cover all areas. the price is so fair for all you get. Just so happy with defender and this system.

I bought this system about a month ago to replace an older system. It was easy to mount cameras and set up dvr. The night view is clear enough to identify anyone from at least 100 feet away. I love this system and would recommend anyone to purchase if they need a good system at a good price.

It was easy to install and network. Good picture quality and works well with the remote viewing software.

I had an older 8 channel dvr with 4 camera. It was nice and did the job. I added 4 more camera. I saw a friend of my who had the 16 channel system an the new iPhone alp for viewing: so I upgraded to a 16 channel system with a 2 TB hard drive and 8 camers. I can now review the camera recording from the phone. I had a problem and called Defender I got hold of Michel and explained the problem I was having. He had the problem resolved in about 10 min time. In the future If I have any problem I will ask for him, because it was like he was sitting next to me when he told me what to do.

I bought this system at home depot online at a great price, just got around to installing it. The hardest part was running the wires, the rest was a snap. I was shocked to see the great quality pictures and options.

I bought this 6 weeks ago and have the most important parts of the system set up. Still have a few more cameras to put in but the ones that are working have me covered ! Easy to install ( except for crawling through the attic) and set up. Great resolution day and night ! Haven't had time to take any pictures yet as it is spring and I have so much to do ! Will try to update this review( if I can) after full install is done ! But wow do I feel safer and covered......

After looking at many home security systems I purchased the Defender Pro-widescreen system. I am extremely pleased with the ease of setup and quality of the cameras .I set the system up to so the my family can monitor the house with our smart phones. Great Value at Great Price.

I was surprised how easy it was to set up this system. Truly plug and play. Good quality equipment and features. Definitely, happy with this purchase.

I brought this item few days ago - had few issues on network settings, to getting a customer service is hard but they are so good and so knowledgeable.

16 CHANNEL H.264 DVR SECURITY SYSTEM This is the product I bought could not find it on list The product is a good product. One camera lost half vision On camera. I sent it back and waiting for return. I found the company Very cooperative.  And would buy again.

I can't believe the value for the money.  The quality of the video is very good.  The fact that I can see every camera view on my phone is astonishing.  This is the best bang for the buck that I have invested in my business this year!

This system is well worth the money! claer images and the Night vision is outstanding!!

This security camera system already solved 2 incidents in my neighborhood. One, when a neighbor's expensive dog went missing and another neighbor pointed out that the dog went inside our property. When the dog owner came to look in our property and found no dog, I also showed them our DVR recorded photage that the dog went straight to the highway (just to clear any doubts and suspicions that we were hiding the dog) and they were grateful that I let them view the video that indeed the dog never went inside our property. Another incident was when a neighbor came to me for help because some things were missing in her backyard. Our camera was able to capture the activity from outside our fence and the issue was quickly resolved by the authorities. I originally only needed the 8- channel system but decided to purchase the 16-channel system for future additional usage. My wife helped me installed the camera as the long wires are really tricky to deal with. So much time was devoted by just untangling the wires alone. The installation did not come easy as well because the cameras were wobbly when drilled on our vinyl sidings. The screws that came with the package were useless when used in vinyl so I ended up buying the right one for the job. Overall, I am happy with my purchase because the unit serves the purpose. It can monitor almost every in and out activities within our property and outside. It can capture every movement although fine details (plate#, facial features) became blurry at relatively "short" distances. One thing I may wish the manufacturer will upgrade though is that, they should have a back up device which is easy and small enough to be tucked secretly somewhere safe. A device that can still store recorded activities if in case the main DVR gets stolen by burglars along with your precious properties. With this present unit, you will be left with nothing to show as evidence once the DVR is gone.

Good system for in door environments as well as outside. The cameras are small but seem to work well. I do wish there was a way to focus them or zoom, but I can't seem to locate it. Cheap, but effective.

After the initial long, drawn out cable install, I managed to hook up the cameras fairly easily. Once I got ready and turned the system on it seemed quite easy to use (getting used to using only a mouse is annoying). I quickly got the basics set up then went on to the remote computer in my office. I was able to make the simple chnages and then gained access to the cameras. I do not see it recording though. I will have to contact support for that, but I am pleased at how easy it is to use. I just hope that the Network Port Forwarding will be just as easy.
