But otherwise it is soft and normal thick.

Jewel of a rug
Rug arrived well protected in heavy plastic. The colors were very close to the photo online. Once we rolled it out it took a day or so to relax and lay completely flat. This rug is being used in a formal dining room, and we are pleased with the design and quality. I did not want a rug that was too thick...this is just perfect for our need. I checked locally before purchasing, and found that the quality and price were not to be beat.
