Used it as a desk/counter top! Worked perfectly!!!!

This 3/4in.x 2ft.x4ft. Pre-primed Poplar Plywood is perfect for most small projects. You can carry this size panel in the back seat or trunk. The "half sheet" panel is ideal for handling. Light weight and easy to carry anywhere. The packaging is such that the panel is well protected for shipping and handling. The edges are void free making the edges easy to sand and paint or stain. The 5 layers are Pure Bonded with a non formaldehyde glue. These panels are available in larger sizes.

I ordered 2 panels, one 1/2" and one 3/4". I was very happy with the 3/4" panel (2 feet x 4 feet). It arrived perfectly flat and only one minor dent on a corner. The primer is very thin, but sufficient for painting. It was almost a shame to have to paint the panel because the quality was so much nicer than what is available in most stores. I only found one tiny void in all the cuts I made which is pretty rare in my experience. My only wish is that these were available at my local store! I used the 3/4" panel to make the box for 2 dog beds (along with some leftover wood I already had on hand).

I needed to add some additional shelves to our hallway closet. With only having a car, hauling a 4'x8' sheet of plywood was out of the question, and having the home center cut plywood for me doesn't always produce the results I wanted. Finding 2'x4' panels that are in good condition are rather scarce to find. I decided to order a 2'x4' panel that was already primed, and to take my chances on what condition it would arrive. I had visions of the plywood panel arriving with all the labels, and shipping stickers stuck to the actual panel. I was very surprised when the panel arrived. It was very well packed into a strong, thick cardboard box which had both sides of the panel protected with a separate sheet of cardboard as well. Removing the panel from the box, I was again surprised at both the condition of the panel, and it's construction. The panel has no warping whatsoever in it, and their are no voids, fillers, cracks, or delamination's. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the overall experience of having this panel shipped, and the condition upon it's arrival. Seeing as how I'll be painting the shelves, having it pre-primed is an added bonus. Well worth ordering, and highly recommended.

The plywood was flat to within 1/8" and had very few voids visible on the edges. 7 ply total: 5 thick core plys veneered with 2 thinner plys on the surface (see the photo). Prime coat was thin and uniform, so the board was ready for a top coat.

all 3 pieces came poorly packaged with dented edges from transportation that i had work with. on top of that...NOT A SINGLE PANEL WAS PRE PRIMED alike i had paid extra for!!!! Because i was in a time crunch i had to use the panels anyway and deal with ripping all of the dented sides and priming each board. Complete disaster of a purchase.

This is one of the best products/services available at Home Depot. From the comfort of your home, you can order wood cleanly cut to order, specifying as many cuts as possible from a single sheet. The its are smooth and accurate, much better than anything I would accomplish myself on a piece of plywood, perfect when you get to a stage of a do-it-yourself project that requires real precision. (They provide the waste wood from the sheet too, which may or may not come in handy.) Being able to buy the wood primed is yet another convenience that saves time and leads to a more professional result. Columbia Forest Products executed my order with blinding speed. It shipped the next day. The order process is a little odd. Using a link on the product page, you have to contact Columbia Forest Products separately, using the same name that will appear on the Home Depot Order, but they seem to have no problem matching up your request with the Home Depot Order that they receive later. This is at least the third or fourth time I've used this service without any problems. This could perhaps be a model for how other Home Depot vendors should work. Custom orders of Bali Shades, for example, are problematic. I had to return those shades, but I will keep ordering Columbia Forest Wood cut-to-size. Bali should call Columbia Forest and have a chat.

Wow, great quality product and company! I was impressed with the service and how quickly I received my order, which was carefully packed, protected and cut to the exact sizes I asked for. I purchased 6 of these boards at once, which I asked to be cut in various random sizes and they did it precisely, exactly as I wanted. In fact, the morning after I purchased these through Home Depot I got a notification that my order was ready to ship so I freaked out for a moment thinking they may have not received my custom cuts request (I followed the exact instructions as stated on the product page) and shipped them as is since it seemed too little time for the wood cutting job to be done. So I contacted Columbia Forest via email and they replied promptly saying the notification was regarding the Fedex label they had just issued, that they had received my request and were going to do it in a day or so. It took just a few days and I received my order. The plywood is very high quality, nicely finished, and exactly what I was looking for my DIY project. Highly recommend this product and company!

I wish there was a longer size available of this, it is perfect for a sewing table.

They provided a custom cut that was exactly as requested. They communicated quickly and accurately. They shipped out and I received the product quickly. They provided all leftover wood pieces.

The product is good, a side from a few sloppy streaks on the primer. They cut the board incorrectly and it doesn’t fit my need. Otherwise the rating would be higher.

Nice and flat, no voids with the 2 pieces I got. Been doing cabinet type work for over 40 years and would recommend for any custom type work.

Pricey, but practical - The purebond pre-primed poplar plywood project panel provides a perfect platform for prancing, parading, playing, practicing pirouettes and preparing pickled peppers; perhaps the prettiest paint-grade product a person could purchase. If possible, procure plural pieces and take pleasure in the process of planning your poplar plywood project.
