I have giving some rough reviews, though honest and accurate, before this last purchase. It may seem that they are listening. The Hickory panels I received were cut perfectly, they were flat, no broken corners, no patches, no voids, etc. In fact, I am purchasing again today to see if they are consistent. I print laser games. Must have quality for my market. These are great. Now I don't have to frame the exterior to maintain flatness.

Columbia Forest is Amazing! I love the quality of their ply, and they understood my crazy email about custom cuts. I've always been happy with the quality of their 1/8 and 1/4" project panels, and now I know how beautiful their 1/2" is as well. I had a customer who wanted a larger board than I could cut on my laser for her wedding "guestbook" board, and the CF hickory did not disappoint!

All 4 corners we're damaged to the point they weren't usable. There also appeared to be several waterspots on it. The only reason for 2 stars was because I only needed a smaller piece that I was able to cut of the larger 2x4 piece. I'm hoping the damage was during shipping and not sent out like that by HD! It would have been returned if I needed a full 2x4 piece. Whatever size you get, don't plan on using the entire piece because you'll have to cut the corners more than likely.

I realize you're probably better off with a full panel in terms of cost, but sometimes I think it's worth it to get these smaller project panels. They're easy to move, you don't have break down a 4x8 panel, and they're much easier to store if you're not getting right to a project. The stability and grain of this panel was especially nice compared to some of the other panels I've used. Perhaps it's the Purebond but regardless I'm quite happy with this one.

The veneer was not stuck to the plys when I went to cut it the veneer came right off in strips

Board was beautiful. When I sanded it, it chipped a little on the ends. Not that big of a deal. Other than that, I love it!

I bought 5 panels of this material. 4 had good color variation and one was so plain it looked like pine. There were some edges with tear out and dents, so glad I did not get anything pre-cut. I used a 100 tooth blade to cut for smooth edges and little sanding.

Very good material and shipped in excellent condition.

The wood panel is excellent quality. The free cut was precise and clean. It's exactly what I needed. And, it arrived very promptly. Good work.

Worked perfectly for making a sign for my wedding. Great grain, and took stain perfectly. Smooth, and did not require any sanding. Will definitely buy again

It had a couple dents on good side. Hopefully they will not affect the piece I need for my project.

Beautiful and very good quality for the price

Plywood is a great product and worked well. Very handy to be able to have hardwood plywood other than basic oak or birch shipped to my house already cut down to a useful size.

This is high quality 1/2" hickory plywood that is the perfect size for small projects. I use it to make custom-sized drawers for cabinets. It is dimensionally stable and the veneer surface on one size it great. There are some filled flaws on the B side. I don't encounter many voids, making it perfect for high quality work. I recommend this for small projects around your shop.

I ordered this quality plywood panel to complete some decorative signs for friends and family. This is definitely cabinet making quality wood! The color, grain and quality are very impressive and this will make for some beautiful project pieces for me. The quality seems to be very high and the edges are smooth, the boards are completely flat. I can't wait to start using them and trying some different stains, maybe try out my new router to do some decorative edges as well.

Surface very thin, peels easily.

I received this product in a container that had been packaged with the care it deservers, The hickory wood grain was beautiful and the thickness of the outer ply makes is simple to finish though extensive sanding was not necessary. The finish accepted an oil stain with no issues and a semi-gloss urethane made the already beautiful grain stand out. I am well please with this product.

The piece of plywood arrived in plenty of time to complete the project. The plywood was in good shape, the grain and texture of the wood was fine. This is a good way to buy partial sheets of exotic or unusual plywood.

All 4 of the sheets had damage, I was able to work around it but still a issue, the grain of 3 1/2" sheets even matched, I am sure they did it purpose, but it a pleasant surprise say the least.
