Faucet is ok, drain is TERRIBLE!
Cable-operated drain kept jamming. Got tired of cleaning mechanism. Tore out cable and replaced drain with conventional lever-operated pop up.

    Good value and looks good
I bought two of these to replace 20+ year faucets that were worn out from daily use in our master bathroom. These seem to be mid-range price and maybe they aren't as nice as the designer Delta faucets I had, but I am completely satisfied - they are very shiny and attractive and work fine. And the price was reasonable. One suggestion: when you install these, be aware that there is a "locked" or "unlocked" option for the drain stopper. You won't be able to remove the drain stopper with the "locked" procedure, but the "unlocked" procedure will enable you to easily take out the stopper for cleaning. My plumber had installed the stoppers in the "locked" position and after he left, I was very unhappy and disappointed; I thought maybe I had made a mistake in the purchase. But, with little time and study, I was able to go back change it - and then I was very happy! Just be aware of this during installation so you choose the option you want.

Great product. Easier to install than other designs.
I purchased this product on-line after returning an in-store purchased Delta faucet that leaked at the drain. This product cost almost twice as much but is much better. It is easy to attach to the sink because it uses large plastic nuts that you can hand tighten. Most other cheaper models have a small nut and bolt and Pac Man shaped metal washer. These small nuts are difficult to get tightened using a wrench in the cramped space under a sink and the washers also slip easily. The design in this product makes attaching the faucet to the sink easy. Also the water supply attachment is much stronger than the more common design of attaching to small copper tubes. You attach the water supply lines directly to the same large metal threaded tubes used to attach the faucet to the sink. This design makes it easier to tighten the water supply without twisting the small copper tubes. Finally the drain uses a metal nut and robust washer. Other designs use a hand tightened plastic bolt and smaller washer which tend to leak at the drain. Overall it is a better design to have a hand tightened bolt for the faucet and a metal wrench tightened bolt for the drain.

This Faucet works good, until you need to repair it!! Good luck finding the parts!
Cannot find the cartridge, not even from American Standard!! I had to replace my lavatory sink. Before I took out the faucet,it worked great--but when I re-installed it,it leaked from under the base of the faucet. I determinded that it needed a new cartriige, but none can be found,so if you ever need parts--be prepared to replace the faucet. Delta will be my next choice!

    Very satisfactory purchase
The installation was easy and straightforward primarily due to the cast-in connections. I previously rejected two other manufacturers because the copper extension tubing to the connector were so small in diameter, they would never have been able to withstand the torque required to insure there would be no leakage and/or weepage. I called the technical service numbers of the rejects and they actually told me their drawings showed the heaver 3/8" od tubing, not the very flimsy 1/4" od that the faucets were made with. On this faucet, there is no tubing at all; connection is to heavy brass casting extensions that extend down thru the sink and vanity top. If you're considering a competitor ask to see the actual item before you buy it and compare the mechanical strength of the connections to the American Standard..

    Timeless style
I wanted a faucet that was classic and good quality, and this faucet fit the bill! The Colony Soft compliments the clean lines I have in my home. My family and I are very happy with it.

      Ceramic washer ststem lasts
American Standard was recommended to replace Delta by expert at [@]EXPO. Delta fawcets and Tub controls wear out (rubber seals in the cartridge) in hard water. They add alum to our water to subliminate the rust in the water. The American Standard ceramic components never wear out after over a decade of use

Simple, easy to clean, works well
Have only had this faucet for a short time, but love the easy functioning and best of all is the Speed Connect, which is why I chose it in the first place!
