The fireplace doors are beautiful; arrived as scheduled with nothing broken. I had it installed by 2 chimney and fireplace techs who said, however, that there were a couple missing screws and an internal surface was not threaded.

It seems to be nice quality, heavy, and sturdy but we are remodeling from 80s gold (door knobs, cabinet hardware, fireplace etc) to brushed nickel. So the green tint doesn't match our ceiling fan or any of the changes we've made in our house and for us it's a deal breaker. We will be returning it.

Just make sure to measure! I didnt even try to do it myself, but the guy who installed it had to remove the bottom panel to make the whole thing fit.

Excellent. Very well packed, no damaged parts. Easy to install with the clamps provided, only took about an hour which included opening and unpacking the box.

Bought these fireplace doors in April of 2017 but did not start a fire until November of 2017. After first fire the metallic substance that the doors are made of started peeling off. These were very nice looking until we started a fire. They cannot withstand the heat.

Nice easy update to my fireplace. I found it easy to install, actually it is just tightening four screws type bolts. Arrived in a well packed box, with all parts needed. Grey color matches the mortar on my brick so blends in perfect.

This is the second Colby I purchased (I have 2 fireplaces). The construction quality and materials are very good. The glass is tinted (which doesn't show any burn residue) and heavy. The doors have a magnetic latch that keeps them closed. The interior screen is made of rigid heavy material and also is magnetic. I originally was concerned that the exterior is painted (mine is a grey) and that it wouldn't hold up as well as a polished metal. However, the first one I purchased several years ago still looks new after heavy use. The mounting system is very good, with two upper brackets and two lower brackets to hold the door in place. It is anchored to the fireplace securely. I priced out several fireplace doors and this one is a great value.

I ordered this thinking the other reviews could be wrong, and that they may have mistakenly ordered the 'Gun metal' colored version, instead of this 'Nickel' version since they complained of the color being darker than advertised. But sure enough, these doors are a dark gray color. Not a deal breaker for us, but be aware. There were other issues as well. doors also arrived with some scratches in the paint. Again, not a big deal unless you get up close, but irritating none the less. Also, one of the doors is bowed just a tad, so it won't close all the way. If you push in the top of the door, the bottom pops out, or vice versa. Not a big gap, and not worth the trouble to return to us. Other than those issues, it is a nice looking unit. The install was easy enough, and only took a few minutes. The brackets fit easily in our fireplace and seem to lock it in place solidly. None of the issues I mentioned are just glaringly obvious, and in the end we decided to keep the unit and install in spite of them. I think we will enjoy the doors, and have received compliments on them already. If it wasn't for the slight quality control issues and the darker than expected color, I would have given it a full 5 stars. I have uploaded a picture, but for some reason it has a gold hue to it. It is gray colored in real life.

Beautiful addition to the fireplace and room. Nice change from the old, outdated brass bi-fold doors. Good quality and easy to install.

I built stack stone around it, looks nice. It’s really not silver more of a gray color.

The product has certainly met our expectations. Easy to install and of quality material. We completely renovated the living room, including the fireplace, replacing dated brick with fieldstone. So this product blended well with the new look. The only issue we had is color. We were anticipating a more nickle look as per the picture(s) shown. The actual color is more grey-ish, thus the 4 rather than 5 stars. However, it still looks elegant. Great product

Actual product looks nothing like what you see online. Had to return 2 of these as we were looking for a gray/silver color and this item was more green/gray. Well made but color is very deceptive.

Sunlight Nickel in this case means gray paint. Nowhere near metallic or nickel in any way. The unit is fine, and replaces very similar product we've had for 10 years. That product did have a nickel finish as imagined by everybody. It rusted. The company's solution to that, apparently, is powder coating. It sure doesn't look like "sunlight nickel," whatever that is.

There is a reasons these are not sold in the store you wouldn't buy it not enough insulation, mounting hardware bends before tight stay a way from this product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased as part of an effort to update our house. Quicker than expected delivery with screen being of high quality with installation not that difficult. Only complaint, if it can be called a complaint, is color as it appeared on my tablet does not match that of in person, but close enough to not return it.
