The underside exterior of the upper glass door panel is exposed particle board. The glass has rubber spacers which are warped from the factory. The doors are nice, but the glass units are cheap.

Our new garage doors are beautiful. They are very well made and the finish gives it a wooden appearance.

Easy to custom order. Absolutely love the quality and operation of my new garage door. Installation was professional and without any problems. Really adds to the curb appeal of our home. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a beautiful, high quality garage door.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced 20 year old doors. Had them painted at the factory to match the BM Historical Color of the house. Great quality, real quiet openers and really adds to our houses curb appeal. The additional layer of windows on the top pane really brighten up the garage. The additional RF factor will help us in the winter keeping the garage alot warmer than years past.

My 70 year old garage doors needed replacing so i decided to go with a timeless classic look of the coachman. They are well insulated, quiet and with the 18 months financing, affordable. Now if only this style came in 9’x7’!

I LOVE my new doors (16' & 9') and they increase my home value, without a doubt. The appearance is fantastic and they seal out the cold weather, critters, insects (such as the dreaded stink bugs) and drafts. Every time I look at them I think that I should have done it five years ago. I continually get comments on how great the doors look. I truly am still amazed at the value for the dollar that I received!

We had this door in 16 x 8 ft installed last week. The door is beautiful and the quality of the door is very good, we are very pleased with the way the door looks with our home. The Home Depot salesman who helped us with our purchase was knowledgeable and very helpful and the door was delivered in about 3 weeks. With the 15% sale offered by Home Depot we were able to get a very good price on the door. My complaint is with the installers. The installer was very nice and explained everything and when he left the door seemed fine. Within a few times of opening and closing the door it started to bind and would go back to the open position but didn't happen all the time. We called the installer and they started telling us that it's the eye and they are going to charge for the visit. The eye was clear so we spoke the salesman at Home Depot who contacted the installer. We didn't hear from the installer and a salesman called from HD to see if they had followed up. It's been 6 days we haven't heard from the installer and now we're trying not to even use the door because it's making a horrible grinding noise. My good rating is for the Clopay door and Home Depot. Poor rating is for the installer..... so far 4 contacts and 6 days waiting for a call back. What good is a beautiful door if you can't use it?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our new doors look beautiful and have added value to our home. The curb appeal just improved by a great deal! Clearly a quality product.

After waiting for many months for my expensive new door, it sags, is bent/bowed, doesn’t shut properly, leaks cold air, and has resulted in significantly less vertical clearance, despite initial assurances to the contrary. The installation instructions says it should have a strut (brace) on each of the four panels, but it only came with two. The installer tells me they will fix the issues. They will order one new panel and more struts, to try to fix the sagging and bending. I’m not sure why only one panel will be replaced when they are all bent. Of course it will be many months before the new panel can be obtained. The design is attractive but the construction quality of both the door and installation is poor. I’m very disappointed. If and when these issues are addressed I will update this review.

The doors look great! Dramatic improvement over the old style doors we had. There is a noticeable difference in the garage temperature thanks to the insulation on the doors and glass. The upgraded spring package definitely cleans up the installation, no more cables and springs hanging along the rails. Completely satisfied with the installation and the products, highly recommend them.

Even though it took 3 1/2 months to arrive, we are very pleased with our new door.

Solid. Great quality sturdy construction. The R18.4 rating makes it comfortable inside my garage from the summer to winter.

In addition to being a very impressive looking door, it is really well engineered. The garage was much warmer during the winter, we are very happy with our choice of this Clopay garage door.

We have been totally happy with the quality of the construction, the quality of the materials and the quality of the installation of our Coachman doors. The Clopay doors have added so much curb appeal to our home that we believe every dollar we spent was well-spent. We encourage others to buy them.

I had Clopay coachman doors installed 10 years ago. They are metal panels with then hollow pure PVC overlays. Due to the expansion and contraction of a southern exposure the ends of the overlays start to pull away from the doors at the panel joints when the overlays expand. Clopay 5 years ago honored their warranty and provided new doors, still of the same solid PVC overlay construction. Sure enough 5 years later they started to delaminate (the overlays pulling away). I just installed (9/2019) new Clopay Coachman doors, this time one foot taller as I increased the height of the openings. No other doors look as good so I still went with Clopay coachman series. While painting the doors with a vinyl safe paint (essentially no black pigment in the formula) I see the overlays are now an actual composite material, not pure PVC. You can see this new type of overlay in the removable grills too when you pull it off. With the doors in the sun, though the metal panel is warm the overlays stay cool to the touch, which they never did before, so I would believe the expansion and delamination of the overlays is a thing of the past. I called around before purchasing and sure enough installers all said they never see anymore delamination problems.

I have had the door for 4 years now and it is still working. Two things to be aware of though. The weather stripping around the door fades while the door does not. So, my white door has a yellowish border around it. Second, which gets me the most, is that you can only buy parts from them. I had a small plastic piece break off (product defect) and was going to buy a new one. After many phone calls, I was able to find someone at HomeDepot who knew how to order one. The parts was $8 but the shipping was $25. Thats a bit ridicules after spending 4k on a garage door. This small fact would have me order elsewhere.

The Coachman is perfect for my craftsman style garage. It not only looks great but works very smoothly and quietly.

This garage door is extremely well-made and the instructions were very comprehensive. I installed it myself, which was quite a task because it was so heavy, but the finished project looks and works great!!
