I emailed Clopay In response to their comment on my review. Never heard back in my area. They shipped the doors to the subcontractor who does the installs so if you don’t get an installation done, the subcontractor is responsible for delivering it. It arrived way late because they only come my area a couple Times a month. They only delivered one tension spring when my 16’ needed two. Now I’m waiting for clopay to get back to me. Can’t use my garage door at all.

Great door. Quiet, secure, sturdy. Minir gripe: tgere is a horizontal grain pattern repeat approx. every two feet. They avoid direct vertical repeat by placing it on a bias. Most would not notice, but I work wood when I can. They do, however, nail grain direction very well.

This is the 3rd time i am using Clopays Door in my homes. Very well constructed ,the hardware is very good. Paint finish is top notch. Also customer service is very helpful.

Excellent product at a very good value. The nominal insulation provides plenty of sturdiness to the door and is all I needed for my detached garage.

Love our new garage doors. We got the Walnut wood finish - they really look like wood from the street and are really beautiful. Windows let in lots of light. Very pleased with the installation. Our garage is detached from the house, so we really weren't overly concerned with the R-Value and went with the lowest to save some dollars. Very happy with these doors and wood recommend if you are trying to get that wood look without the maintenance.

Despite the amount of time it took from ordering to install, I am thrilled with the new garage door

We could not be any happier with our door. It was worth the wait

What a difference this new door made. My house is old and I wanted something that closely matched the old door that was installed in 1940, plus I finally installed an automatic opener. I love everything about this door except for the window pane inserts. They're flimsy plastic and fortunately I was able to just pop them out. Now the glass can be easily cleaned, the door looks just as good, and I'm happy. (The photo shows the door before I removed the inserts.)

We purchased a Gallery collection door and we're extremely happy with the look and feel of the door. Fantastic upgrade from the original the had no insulation and was noisy. This one is so quiet and with the 2" polystyrene I noticed the temperature in the garage has improved. We've received many compliments on the door and it really made a tremendous visual impact to the look of my house. I expected the door to be nice, but I didn't expect it to make such a nice difference and I highly recommend this Clopay door to anyone looking to upgrade.

After living in my home for 26 years with white garage doors and brown entry doors I made a change and am so happy with the results! They now all match and I have a warmer home. The inside looks better now than the day I bought the house.

We can't be happier with our faux wood garage door with wrought iron and glass windows. It has made our home look beautiful. We have received so many compliments on it. I recommend Clopay doors to everyone!

I ordered 3 of these doors, all were delivered on time and without any damage. I installed them by myself. I have never installed a garage door before. It took me all day to install the first one. the second day I installed the other 2 with time to spare. The kits come with plenty of extra hardware, but if you have to move any of the riveted-on track brackets you will have to buy small bolts to replace the rivets you drill out. Clopay says they will send you some for free but who has time to wait for that? The wood grain printed on the door is very convincing from a short distance. They are gloss white on the inside.

I purchased two 7X9 GR1SU 3-layer doors as special order from Home Depot. The doors took about three weeks to arrive. The parts list in the install manual does not show all the parts included it only shows a generic listing, so you can't ensure you have every part before you start installation. It turned out, I was missing critical parts. I called number on manual, but was directed to special Home Deport number (1-877-526-2050). After one week, the parts did not arrive. I called a second time and was told they didn't ship yet - a week later? Not good. They said they would ship soon. Hopefully they will arrive soon. Installation wasn't too bad. You definitely need to have some mechanical ability. Not all holes are predrilled, so you need to be able to measure and drill. The side supports for the doors have pre-drilled holes that fit over the main door sections, which also have predrilled holes. In many cases, the holes did not align well. This results in the roller bracket mounting screws getting installed crooked. See the pics I've attached. My biggest complaint is waiting so long to get missing parts delivered and the poor build of the door panels by the manufacturer. A little quality control here would go a long way. I would have scored this 4 stars if it weren't for poor customer service.

The installation requires 9-10 hours per door, decent skills and a set of tools. You'll be planning, measuring & centering, metal cutting, drilling, screwing (lots) and leveling. I was able to do a 9'x7' door alone, but it's quite difficult to lift the door before getting the springs installed, since you're lifting the entire door yourself and mine weighs over 150 lbs, I would guess. I was disappointed that the panels are not pre-drilled for the handle hardware. It takes a significant amount of time accomplish - to transfer drill points from the drawing to the door panel, then to drill the holes, install the spacers, then bolt on the handles. At one point, the instruction said to drill 1/2" holes for handle spacers, but the spacers were only about 3/8". This was the only really bad instruction I found. The other big effort that is not handled by the kit is the support structure for the rear of the tracks. You must purchase your own angle irons and fasteners, plan a support with angle braces, cut to fit, and install on your garage roof. If the garage roof trusses are not well spaced for this, then you'll also need to purchase 2x4's to nail up to create good mounting platforms for the the support structures.

Purchased 3 doors 9x8 for new construction in a log home. Great looking doors, my builder thought they looked much more expensive. Needed good R value as garage will be heated.

It was missing parts

I was due on November 30 after 6 weeks. As of December 4 it’s still not here. Apparently, after the order is fulfilled it is sent to an installer who subs for HD. Since I was not having it installed they deliver it at their convenience. Still don’t have it.

Our prior door was a Clopay, which was working fine after over 20 years. We primarily got a new door to improve the look of the house, which this does.

Very quiet and nice look. Love the windows and hardware.

Pros: -ordering from https://mhddc.clopay.com/ (Home Depot clopay portal) was super easy and better than ordering of Home Depot app/site. -quality seems solid and order had everything that was ordered Cons: -long wait to manufacture (but you know it ahead of time) -wether you order installation or just delivery your order will be sent to installer and you will have to wait until they want to deliver it ( in my case installer was located almost 2hours and it took me forever to get it delivered)

Fairly easy to install, good quality.
