I have a second home and in researching cookware sets was delighted to find the "Silver Classic" ...
I have a second home and in researching cookware sets was delighted to find the "Silver Classic" cookware from Farberware. For the last 24 years I have enjoyed using the same set, and was delighted to find it still for sale by Farberware. My 24 year old set is not quite as shiny as the new one, but looks darn good, and continues to serve me well. The new 15 piece has every piece I will need, with the exception of a vegetable steamer, which I will look for. I googled the silver classic, which was available through different retail stores, but the price at Home Depot was the best, and it was shipped to my home quickly. I am very happy with Farberware and Home Depot.

I purchased the classic set as a house warming gift. We’ve had our classic set for 42 years and still love it. The new set is the same quality stainless steel and weight. The couple loves the set!

When I initially opened the package the first thing I saw were 2 fry pans. They were both aluminum and I had some disappointment, as I had expected them to be stainless steel. As I continued I saw the balance of the pans to be stainless steel. I had also expected the lids to be glass. Aside from the two discrepancies in the lids and the fry pans, I found the rest of the package to be acceptable. I'm sorry, but I will not recommend this product to others. Thank you very much for your prompt delivery. I can always count on Home Depot thanks again. A loyal customer.

This Farberware classic Series 17 piece stainless cookware set is exactly what I wanted. I have 1saucepan left since my Bridal Shower. It was in 1973. I enjoy the set and it cooks great. The one thing that I liked this set is that it comes with lids, and a cookie sheet.
I would recommend this product. It brings back so many memories. It also meets my expectations too.
Thank you for a wonderful set.

I got basically the same set back in 1983 and they were starting to show there age. Was always happy with them so decided to go with these. They seem to be made well and I expect to get many years of service out of them, and they're shiny!!

No way to ask a question?? Lids steel or glass?
Picture shows steel lids. Details say "Close fitting glass lids create a self-basting feature that traps in moisture and nutrients." Reviewer says "really like glass lids." Q&A answer says lids are steel. How can I believe any of these?

Had these pans before, and used them for many years. Switched to a different kind, used those. These pans met all my cooking needs, liked them so much I purchased a new set.

DO NOT BUY THIS SET
Farberware does not sell replacement lids for this set. Our 9" lid broke the 3rd month we had it. The knob came off and melted underneath, making the lid useless. I contacted Farberware who state they still manufacture this pan and lid, however will not sell me a replacement lid. In fact, the representative said it is one of their "weird sized pans and lids" and I would be better off "purchasing a new pan and lid of a normal size."

We carry a variety of both stainless steel and glass lids in our most frequently requested styles and sizes and we are sorry we do not carry the lid size of your pot. Not only would I buy this product again, but I already have
I have been using Farberware cookware for the past 25 years. I had to purchase a second set only because I gave my first set away. I have a new kitchen and have replaced it with the exact same pieces and added a few more. I learned about Farberware when I was 17 working in a Department store where they had weekly product demonstrations, the lady whose name was Muriel taught me a lot about the differences in pots and pans so when I was on my own I purchased a set and couldn't be more pleased.

Dependable Quality!
After 43 years I decided to replace my original cookware with the updated set. Surprised and delighted at the new features (see-thru pot lids, etc). Just love cooking with the new pots and pans.

i love these pans!
i love the pans, but the lids for the bowls will not stay on, which makes them worthless. i bought the pans because i purchased a set in 1974 and i still use most of them.
