Easy To Install
I installed this 30 foot liner in about 40 minutes. It does require 2 people to install it since you need to push it down the chimney at quite an arch. No tight bending as it goes into the chimney and you need to control the end of it until it's in. Unwind the roll completely so its as straight as possible before you climb up to the roof with it. Install the Tee portion firmly before installing in the chimney, I used 10-24 Stainless Steel Screws with nuts and flat washers since sheet metal screws would not hold it tightly. I had a good size opening in the chimney in order to install the Tee's snorkle piece. The liners material is not that thick, but will be quite adequate for use with a wood stove. Overall I was satisfied with the liner and components.

waste of money
The whole point of purchasing a kit is so it has everything you need to install it. This "liner kit" does not. No way to attach the cap to the liner to support the weight of the liner. No way to attach to the tee. Why wouldn't it come with the adapters so that the kit fits together? Can't find them anywhere except online and they're not cheap.

    thanks for nothing
this kit is great if you want to waste your time and have tons of creosote. the instructions are super vague and in some places just wrong. tells you to put high temp silicone at the connections which is not necessary and will quickly burn off once when the glue gets hot. the tee doesn't come beveled so you either have to crimp the liner or pull it over the tee so that creosote drips out. all crimps should be toward the appliance to prevent this. the top cover does not have a band to support the weight of the liner or anyway to attach to your existing terracotta flue. learn from my mistake and buy a quality product from Rockford or just pay a professional.

Tee connector has no clamp to install liner into. You have to buy a separate piece so the liner can be installed inside the tee. The adapter is not cheap! Also the cap did not fit on liner. Very poorly made.

For the price it is pretty decent and suited what I need it for! Only down fall it doesn’t come shipped with a pulling cone to pull it down the chimney, luckily I had one in my garage from the previous homeowners. Quality of the liner pipe itself is okay it’s on the thinner side so attaching a pull cone caused it to tear luckily it was fixable with some tin snips!

      Happy customer
Needed this for my new woodstove. Shipment arrived nicely and I was able to install in chimney with no issues. It was not too heavy and was easy to uncoil and put down the masonry flue. I did fit and pre-drill the metal screws for the cap. I'm very satisfied with the product.

affordability to our customers regarding the purpose of this type of product and what it is used for
i believe this is too expensive considering the simplicity of the product. This set is single ply and chimney ventilation systems require double ply type b gas vent ventilation piping. Another thing to consider is the cost of the product's pieces individually. The cap, hood vent, the wye, and the starter piece individually would cost approximately, don't quote me, but I believe around 60 to 65 bucks if purchased individually off of our shelves. The purpose of this item is to properly ensure our customer's well being in their own homes. Something of this importance needed for gas appliances concerning carbon monoxide being traveled through this type of ventilation system should be made much more affordable because of the concern for our customer's personal safety and in some cases, their lives. Selling our customers single ply piping when double ply type b gas vent systems are required for the appliances that we sell here at the him depot, should be something our associates and as us as the consumers and providers should consider to be much more valuable than such a high price for something that could potentially save the lives of people who needs these products in there homes so that they can be safe from carbon monoxide and ensure the safety and well being of there families and people in there homes on more of a personal level. It is our job here at the home depot to provide safe and efficient products at a fair price for even the poorest of our customers can afford the things and their needs which brings our customers here to The Home Depot in search for us having the right product to fit their needs. Another thing, I believe the home depot should sell just the vent pipe just as we do the other individual pieces of this set, for those who do not need the full kit, and possibly save them some money in the long run and save their lives from the carbon monoxide that some of the appliances we sell to them that may produce when in use. Thank you

Bought and installed. Happy with purchase and would recommend though...
Bought and installed. Happy with purchase and would recommend though it is July and I haven't fired the stove yet. It was a bit of work to get it down the existing clay liner though not nearly as bad as some descriptions of the process would make it. Every chimney is different. I bought a short section of flexible aluminum pipe with the same OD, 6.25 for $15", and dropped it down with a bespoke cone and eye and rope and it fell right to the bottom , no prob. I got the 30' kit. I measured the drop from the lip of the tile on top to the opening in the basement and had a bit over 29'. I measured the tube after straightening it and it was 30'. Still, I almost came up short since it wasn't perfectly straight and it took a number of bends lifting it up and in. So a word to the wise, be sure to leave plenty extra. When you are pushing it down and it stops, the thing to do is to rotate it to get it moving again.

This is a great kit, complete with stainless steel screws to connect everything. The Tee take off has just the right length strap which can be worked around behind the Tee opening section after it is exactly in place. It then gets worked into the strap clamp screw with its 5/16 tightening head.

What a pain in the #@$. came in a coiled position for shipping. should have said straighten it out on the ground for easier installation. Didnt pay attention to how thick stainless steel was. looks like it will melt through this stuff in maybe one season. couldn't get screws that came with to cut through metal. had to use different ones. nothing like wrestling a slippery snake on a ice/snow covered roof on a ladder. Next time i'm calling professionals. get thicker material too.

Pleased overall, but the cap assembly was somewhat difficult to work with. A few pre-drilled holes would have made things a lot easier.
