It is great for grilling vegetables and delicate fish and seafood. The product literature specifies use on 3-burner and larger Char-Broil products.It does not work (to replace a grate) on 2-burner models, but may still be used on top of the infrared grates. Heat is even. Sticking food is not a problem (after seasoning), but first use requires elbow grease to clean. Durability is excellent!

I purchased this cast iron cooking dish shortly after I purchased my Infra RED grill. I bought this dish because my previous grill had a built in griddle that we had come quite accustomed to using. Once the cooking dish arrived we started using it for grilling fresh peppers and onions and the size and performance of the dish is exceptional. We actually prefer it over the griddle in our previous grill due to it's ability to contain the contents in it's deep dish design. The Infra-RED capability only improves the entire process. In over 30 years of grilling, I have never owned a grill that cooked as evenly and had such excellent temperature control as this grill. I am 100% satisfied with not only the dish, but the grill as well. Lastly, the cost of the cooking dish was very inexpensive compared to other similar products I reviewed. If your grill is designed to use this item, buy it. you will not be disappointed.

Haven't had a chance to use it but it doesn't take up much space to store it under the grill. While I have your attention, what is your fix for the disappearance of the guide markiings around the control knobs. Soap and water wipe-downs have obliterated them. Thanks in advance....

I love this 'built in' cast iron dish! It's way better than having one on top and fits perfect! I give it 10.5 stars out of 10!!! Perfect for veggies or fajitas or anything! I highly recommend!

This can be used for all kinds of cooking. Hey, it's cast iron. Great fit and great idea. You can cook beans or bacon or just simmer onion and garlic for your hot dogs. Wonderful pan.

I bought one of these for myself three years ago. My son-in-law, when he helped me BBQ, kept commenting on how much he liked it ---- SO birthday rolled around and he got one! I really enjoy using this. Being a cast iron type product, it really holds the heat. My potatoes and other veggies get a nice crust and just works wonderfully.

need to return. computer stated it was universal and would fit my grill. this item is to small for my unit

I've used several cast iron dishes on top of traditional grill grates. This deep dish fits this no 1 or 2 rated Consumer Reports gas grill and is so much easier to keep all the veggies in from falling out over the side when turning them over or rounding them up to dish them out.

It is simply uncoated steel which will rust, not coated as claimed!

Really like this Char-Broil dish. Makes cooking veggies on the BBQ so much easier. Still getting used to cooking with "infrared" technology so it's also easy to burn the veggies 'cause the dish gets really hot, which makes it hard to get completely clean after.
