I researched the heck out of ceiling fans before choosing the Ainsworth. We installed two of them in the Cottage White color. (8 ft ceilings, 2 inch downrods) A 54" size fan works perfectly in 11x12 and 12x12 bedrooms, but would work in slightly smaller rooms as well. The Cottage White color is unique to any ceiling fan I've seen, and looks great with our Benjamin Moore White Dove painted rooms. The reversible Direct Drive motor is not only completely silent, but energy efficient. You will hear air on high speed. With 13 degree pitched blades and an outstanding motor and you've got a quiet fan that can really move some air. No wobbles on one of them but the other we have a very very slight wobble on high, but plan on balancing. (could be our ceiling that isn't perfectly level) Highly, highly recommended! Note: If you are looking for a white white fan, Cottage White is not your color.

The fans are nice but the color Cottage White is not really white - more on the grayish side. So I returned the fans.

Surprisingly, I have had eight of these fans over the years and three recently installed fans all have a fluorescent light-like hum when turned on. In addition, they have a slight drone with every revolution that makes it a very poor fan for the bedroom. Casablanca sent me three new wiring harnesses which did not solve the problem.

Something has happened to the quality of this fan over the years. I've had these in two different homes, with five in my current home. Three out of the five I have now have a hum when you turn them on, sounding like a fluorescent light. In addition, with each rotation there is a droning noise. I had my electrician check my installation and inserted rubber spacers in the ball mount but nothing improved. Even after sending me new wiring harnesses to install, the noise did not improve. This is definitely not a fan for a bedroom or anywhere you want peace and quiet.

I asked a clerk at Home Depot about the color of Cottage White. She indicated that it was just another name for white. This fan is not white! It is a very light gray. I returned it because of the color. Disappointed because I like the fan. I can't recommend this fan in Cottage White.

Well made and very quiet. No humming even on high speeds. We have 3 of these in our home and they all are great!

My son helped me install this in my master bedroom and it couldn’t of been easier! Always have loved the high quality of a Casablanca ceiling fan plus the Cottage White color was perfect! I definitely am going to buy another for my guest bedroom.

The fan is perfect for my room with a cathedral ceiling. It's large but not imposing and it's quiet. Delivery was easy. Ordering it was not so easy: I tried ordering it over the phone and each time I got transferred to the wrong department. I finally ordered it online and had it delivered.

Pay close attention to the color. I didn't realize that Cottage White meant a distressed look, and the fan just looks plain dirty and old. I removed it immediately and refused to install the other two that I had ordered.

Great fan.....everything is prefect

Wanted something to blend in with the farm style decor, with tall off white ceilings, didn't want brown,etc. Love the color and motor has decorative almost beadboars look. Electrian mentioned many times it was a good fan. Not giving 5 stars because no remote and with 18 foot ceiling, can't use the pull string. Also has 4 speeds and all universal bremites have 3. Found a wall switch but it's bad quality. would've like other options to change speeds.

The fan is beautiful and silent. It moves the air at 4 different speeds with just a whisper. Love it

Great fan easy to assemble

Difficult to assemble. Some of the screw holes seem to be done backwards, so the screws can't be set very well.

Bought online, free shipping via UPS. The packaging protected all the parts. The installation instructions were well written. All of the parts needed were included. The installation was easy. The result is very satisfying. I do wonder if it will last 30 years like the Delta II it replaced.

A very nice fan...well-constructed, smooth operating. Rather wobbly on high, but I have not yet installed the small kit provided to correct wobble. Nice and smooth on Medium (the speed I use anyway). The color is OK...sort of a shabby chic off white. I would prefer a little more classic white color.

I have always been impressed with Casablanca fans and this fan lived up to my expectations. Very quiet and great air movement.

Don't like the color. "Cottage White" means "looks old and dingy". I'll be returning it. It is quiet though.

This fan circulates a lot of air in a short period of time, it is super quiet. I would recommend this fan to anyone who is looking for a great looking powerful and quiet fan for any room.

I really like the fan, I use it in my bedroom and it looks attractive with my dark oak furniture. Moves a lot of air on a medium setting and it is remarkably quiet. I was disappointed that all of the blades were damaged on one side so that I did not have a choice of which side/color I could use and because I was paying someone to install it I did not want to send it back and reschedule the appointment. Overall it is a good product and would buy again, but would buy at the store, rather than on the internet, so that I could check it for any aesthetic damages.
