So far I have only put one together. The box was in perfect shape but one piece was broke and it had several scuffs on it. Also when putting it together several pieces where not marked for example; take piece "K" and attach to "M". Nothing to indicate what piece was what.

For the cost, this is a good value. Instructions are excellently written. I put this together myself in under 2 hours. I do wish the backing was more substantial, but once decorated it's barely noticable.

Good for the price - purchased for my college age son’s room. He assembled it with no issues.

Great look but poor design in attaching the decorative front details, someone really missed the mark there. Those pieces need more than screw plates to butt together, should have had dowels for those joints as well.

This is the fifth Sauder piece assembled. Instructions are straight forward, just pay attention to detail of part direction. If I did another bookcase I would put a few nails in the back, then stand it up, making sure it's level. Then finish nailing the back on. That way it should be square. Shame they don't give you a nail holder like comes with Ikea furniture. Makes holding those small nails much easier.

Bought two as matching ends we have entertainment center in between both which homds are samsung 65” LED tv they cane with anchors to the wall very good instructions to put together took me 45 min to assemble 2 book cases

I would prefer real wood and would be willing to pay more. Also more color selections.

The quality of this item is not what i expected it to be. Also its smaller than what it appears to be.

I love it and want to get the matching coffee table and end tables.

Assembled by one person with a little assistance from a friend, but not easy. Looks great.

Beautiful addition to our home. Very nice furniture.

It provided the storage and looks great, but was hoping it would be a little more stable. It peels easily.

Had purchased a desk and lateral file last year which I'm very happy with. Found the matching book shelf and ordered it from Home Depot (ships from Sauder). The two side pieces were cracked, called Sauder - their Customer Service was great and received replacement parts in two days. Instructions were clear, took my time and installation went smoothly. A nice looking product at a reasonable price! Highly recommend!

Took a little longer than I imagined to put together, but pretty straight forward. Heavier duty than I expected! Looks nice. Fairly narrow. Using it for dishes.

Very easy to assemble.One person can do it in 75 minutes easily.Good value, not too heavy.

This is a great piece of furniture. It's solid, sturdy and looks great. Didn't take too long to put together and it matches the desk perfectly. I looked through a lot of different libraries before deciding on this one and so glad that I did.

This is the second bookcase I ordered and was very satisfied. Boxes little too heavy for me to handle but thankfully I have a strong brother to bring in and also put together. He had no difficulty with instructions or assembling both. One bookcase the door was broken but called and in no time a new door was shipped to me. Would recommend these bookcases to anyone who asks. The box the pieces arrived in is very long and the pieces were all snapped in half from the box bowing in the middle during shipping and handling. Also, in the pictures the bookcase looks more of an oak color, but in person it has much more of a grayish tone.

I love my new bookcase! The color is so vintage and beautiful. It goes well with my newly remodeled bathroom which I store my towels. My husband put it together for me and he is "mechanically challenged" but didn't complain about the directions. I give him koodos for an awesome job! Thank you Home Depot for having this product! So sturdy, elegant and rustic all at the same time!

Our first order came in quite damaged. The second one was fine. The bookcase is a less expensive material, and the doors were a bit challenging to put on at first (directions do not state there are options for the hinges), but this bookcase works well for us for what we needed and wanted to pay.
