This is the Home Decorations Collection Cameron 54 in. integrated LED Ceiling Fan (Brushed Nickel finish). It includes a remote control, which is especially handy if, like in my 1908 house, your ceiling box is not wired for separate operation of the fan and light. In fact, I’m replacing a ceiling fan that doesn’t have a remote control—you had to use the pull chains for changing speed and turning the fan/light on off as desired. The integrated LED light is interesting—it uses discreet LEDs on a circuit board (see Photo 1). Overall, the fan is average in ease-of-installation. One trick that would make it easier is, in Step 4 on page 9, BEFORE you mount the fan motor into the mounting bracket, remove one of the screws from the bottom of the mounting bracket and substantially loosen the other screw. I followed the directions to the letter and didn’t do this—it was really difficult to remove/loosen them once the fan motor is in place. Fortunately, I had just the tool to get me out of the jam (see Photo 2). Besides that one tip, if you follow the directions (which are well written), you should have no trouble installing the fan. Be particularly careful when wiring the receiver—if you’re not used to doing this, read the directions several times before proceeding to make sure you get it right. Photo 3 shows the receiver wired to the line-in (short red and white wires) and fan/light wires (longer white, blue, and black wires). The light is nice and bright, my guess is that the color temperature is 3000K (I can’t find a spec for it anywhere). Note that the light is dimmable—you press and hold the light button on the remote and the light continuously increases and decreases in brightness. When you reach a level you like, let go. Photo 4 shows the light at a dim level, Photo 5 shows it at full brightness. Quickly pressing and releasing the button turns the light on and off, and when turned on, it’ll be at the level you previously set. The fan works very smoothly and quietly. To turn it on, you can either press the fan on/off button and it will turn on at the speed last set, or, you can press one of the speed buttons (Low, Med, Hi) and it’ll turn on at that speed. The remote easily mounts to the wall in a holder so you can remove it anytime (see Photo 6). The entire fixture seems well built, looks good, and operates as expected (which is good). For me it’s a perfect replacement to my non-remote fan. The motor comes with a lifetime warranty.

Love this ceiling fan. This fan has replaced a tired ceiling fan in our living room. The remote control is great, controls the light on/off as well as dim to bright, and controls the three speeds of the fan. It looks great. We love the modern yet traditional look of this fan. The fan blades can be installed either side up - with your choice of a reddish brown wood or a brown wood grain. The brushed nickel components match other brushed nickel things we have in the room. The fan operates very quietly. It is almost silent on low and medium speed, and on high it is more wind sound than fan motor. It moves a lot of air. The light does not take bulbs. It has an integrated LED that takes up minimal space but puts out a bunch of light. It is a relatively warm white. I believe the documentation says it is about temperature 3000K, a warm white. Installation was not simple, but was typical of other fans I've installed in the past. The bracket attaches to the ceiling box and the "ball" can be hooked in the hanger to hold the fan up there while making the electrical connections. The fan takes one hot wire. The remote controls independent light and fan operation. The receiver for the remote control gets stuffed into the hanger at the ceiling box. Making the electrical connections and stuffing the receiver and the wires up into the box is not extremely easy, but it all fits under the cover when all put together. The components are easy to assemble and the directions are clear with the required order of installation. All the required screws, washers, and wire nuts were all included. There was an extra screw of each size included - which is great. There are some balancing weights included, but my fan was perfectly balanced when installed, and I did not need to rebalance it. We are very very happy with this new fan/light in our living room.

The Cameron fan is just a great looking and outstanding air mover with the little wider blade width. The remote control works great and the dimming is outstanding also. Web info said uses a 17 watt bulb, but is not (so called bulb) is not changeable) uses the normal LED dioses, I am using in my show as really need the air cooling it provides, well not right now but with spring on the way. Like that the blades are reversible I used the darker side look like dark walnut to me but the other maple finish side is great also. the brushed nickel finish look really great. If you like the looks you will love the fan as much as I do

We purchased this fan for our 15 foot vaulted ceiling in our living/dining room area on February 10, 2017. With a 24" down rod this ceiling fan was the perfect height: not too low to take away from the effects of having a vaulted ceiling and not so high that we cannot clean it. I love the fact that there is a pre-installed LED light that not only turns on and off with the handy dandy remote that comes with it especially because the light also has as a dimmer. This fan can be installed straight or angled and has a cherry brown blade and oak brown blade to choose from when installing. The brushed nickel finish looks amazing and the breeze from the fan is more than adequate for the room size. We love the modern look of the fan and how easy it was to install. I will update the review once we have had the fan a while to advise on how well it has held up!

It was really hard to review this fan. I read other reviews and found myself in the minority. The first one we received I'm pretty sure some else had already tried to install it. The down rod that comes with it could not be screwed into the fan straight. I tried multiple times. I even decided to just install it hoping you wouldn't be able to see the crooked rod. But it was very noticeable. But then one of the brackets that is connected to the fan blade was missing. So I bought another one. This one went together very easy and all the parts were there. But it wobbled like mad on high. Medium was okay high shook like crazy. I tried and tried to fix it but to no avail. I'll work on it later. But I love the looks of this fan it's very nice. And the instructions were straight forward. Thats why I gave 5 stars for appearance. because it looks high end. I didn't use the remote because we already have two switches on the wall from our old one. The led light is very bright and works great. The brushed nickel surface is flawless. Don't consider my problems with this fan the norm. Read all the reviews.

This fan is beautiful. It will give your room a total makeover. I really like how it provides a classic/contemporary look. This fan would go well with many different styles. It is flatter than other fans I’ve had before, which is a nice feature when the ceilings aren’t very high. It made the room look more spacious. The quality of all the materials looks very good. It is all very well put together. Installation is simple, similar to most other fans out in the market. Two people would make the job easier, but one person can perform the whole installation without any issues. One feature I liked was that the blades have two different wood tones. One is “coffee expresso” wood, while the other side has more of a redish tone. I chose to install the “coffee expresso” color since it matched better the color of our furniture. The fan comes with a remote control which is another really nice feature. I didn’t want to install the remote control on my wall, so I just turned the light on with the remote once and turn it on/off with the wall mounted switch. The light is an LED lamp. Like many other LED lamps, you will have to buy a replacement if it burns out. Hopefully these replacements are available in the future. Last but not least, I found this fan to be very quiet compared to my old ones.

The box is small when received and it is well packaged. The instructions are easy to read and understand and so it was the installation. As for the installation I did it alone and it took some time to assemble but I expected that in the first place. I really liked that it came with balancing weights so the fan can operate without being out of balance. The remote control is easy to operate, it turns the light on and off and controls the fan with 3 settings, slow, medium and fast. I would have liked for the remote to do the same with the light since the light is very bright, maybe have the same 30 percent 60 percent and 100 percent on the light. Overall it works great and it is an excellent choice to own.

This fan serves its purpose very well and does so almost inaudibly. Minimal to no wobble even at high speed. The appearance including the LED globe will instantly update your room particularly if you have those old sconce light fixture kits. The added benefit is adjustment of fan speed, light on-/off and dimming via remote instead of pull cords. Installation is similar to fans of this class and allows you to hang it from a bracket while connecting wiring. As with most fans the base at the ceiling seems almost too small to fit the number of wires back inside of it after hook up. I'm not sure why these aren't designed about 2 inches wider to save time and sweat. The fan I replaced had separate wall switches for the light and fan functions. Since this fan only needs one to turn on power overall I didn't want to end up with a "dead" switch. I connected the wire from the house for the light into the connection between the remote receiver and wire to the light. This allows me to flip only the light on with the wall switch to the last setting (dimming function isn't available) or simply control it with the fan switch using the remote. Pros: appearance, minimal noise, lack of wobble, remote, LED, function Con: multiple wires for a small space.

This fan is awesome and the instructions were pretty straight forward. We love this fan and definitely recommend it. Looks even better in person and works great.

I would recommend the Cameron Ceiling Fan. The product is quality made and built to last. I like the look, it is very classic and will go in any room. The remote fan comes with a remote sensor that has to be installed in the small ceiling mount. It will all fit in the mount but it will take time and patience. Once it is finished you will be happy with the look. The blades have two colors so pick which one works for you, one is a little more cherry wood and the other is more dull brown. LED bright light. Three fan speeds, so you can set it to move as much or as little air as you need. If you have other remote fans, make sure this one is set to a different code then the others. I am happy with the look and build of the fan.

This is a fantastic ceiling fan! Love how modern yet classy it is - really gives my guest bedroom an updated look and feel. Super quiet, even on high speed. The fact that a remote is included makes for a really nice package. Remote even has a wall mount sleeve that I mounted right next to the switch - looks very high tech! Fan blades come in a warm cherry finish as well as a more subtle, gray-brown wood (which I chose) - both are great options. Instructions were clear and took me 30 mins. Only con was no battery was included with the remote but I was able to snag 2 for $4. Highly recommend!

Not sure why this fan had any negative reviews? Overall we found it to be a very nice ceiling fan. It is priced right and very stylish. It has a smooth, modern design with two colors of blades that that will match any room. Fan runs quietly and can cool my in-home office with three operating speeds. I did not even need the balance kit for the blades. (No wobbling like others). The LED bulbs provide bright and very good lighting plus saves me over $500 over the life of the fan and no need to be replacing bulbs. This fan comes with an easy to use remote but I just connected it to my previous wall switch that had separate light & fan switches. The fan can be turned on and off with the light switch in my office since it is the main light for the center of the room. The installation was fairly simple and took about one hour.

Overall, very nice ceiling fan. Sleek, modern design with two colors of blades that compliment any room. Fan runs very smoothly, quietly and can quickly cool a large area with three operating speeds. The LED bulbs provide bright and very good lighting. The downfall is that the LED bulbs are all connected in a circular piece and if they ever need replacement, the entire part will need to be replaced. Fan is controlled by an easy to use remote that comes with a holder to be mounted to the wall to store the remote. The fan can be turned on and off with the switch, however all changes to the fan must be made with the remote. Nice feature to have when already laying in bed! The installation was more difficult than most fans because of a large remote box that needed to be installed. Overall, not too tough to install. A great choice for a medium to large room.

Wanted to give our home an updated look, so we replaced our old white fans with this sleek, streamlined fan. Installed it on 20 ft ceilings (with the help of a contractor) with a down rod. Spinning nice and smooth, no wobbles. Has dimmer on remote, so nice functionality. Installed two in adjoining rooms, and was able to program both remotes so they only control one fan. Only negative is because of our high ceilings... the reverse switch is on the unit, so a ladder is required to flip the spin direction for the seasons. Great looking fan!

I like the look of this fan. However, after about 2 years the light started to strobe. I have spent hours on the phone with Home Depot and with the manufacturer of this fan, Minka-Aire. Finally, I get the model number of the light kit that I need in order to fix this thing, and they say it's backordered until April 3rd. I guess we have to go three more months with no light in our dining room. If you're looking for a temporary ceiling fan that you have to replace in 2 years, go for it. Otherwise, don't waste your money on this garbage.

I purchased two of these fans for my living room. They were pretty easy to install and we were able to program them so they use the same remote. They look great! Especially for the price. The light is also clearer and brighter than our old fans - but the light isn’t overwhelmingly bright at night.

This 54 inch ceiling fan is not only great looking, With the remote control unit installed, it sure beats getting out of bed to adjust the fan speed, or turn on / off the light. I gave it four bars on ease of installation only because the normally blue wire, is black and blue striped. Being color blind, I could not tell which wire this was, and had to gt my wife to identify the wire for me. All in all this is a great design. On my way back to purchase another one.

Nice fan and looks good. Good quality and very affordable. Our only issue is the screws were missing that attach everything and we couldn't install it the day we had hoped to. Other than that, the instructions were easy to follow. Fan body is finished in brushed nickel with 54 inch wide, 5 blades that are reversible to either medium maple or dark walnut finishes. Light attachment has a 14 watt light and frosted white glass. Comes with a remote control for easy on/off and speed control and lighting for your comfort and reversible air flow. Impressive life time motor warranty. Includes brushed nickel 4-1/2 in. downrod with 3/4 in. dia. Nice fan, looks great and good value.

While I needed a new fan to replace the old one I have, I was interested in this model especially because of the LED Light feature. I have found that the LED light is cooler, much more energy efficient and produces what I call a cleaner brighter light. Overall the fan is quiet, attractive and very efficient and I can not say enough about how pleased I am with my choice of this fan. I would defiantly replace any of the other fans as needed with this model.

I would recommend this is it fits your style. The fan itself is fine; good air movement, nickel is a great accent and the installion is that of any normal ceiling fan. I am not a fan of the wood colors (was hoping the darker side was more espresso than cedar) and the globe is just seems dated on its style. The fan was balanced upon installation and is fairly quiet. You cannot even hear it on the low setting. The multi-LED light is nice and bright but also a proprietary design. (Good thing LEDs don’t go out) The remote has decent range.

The ceiling fan looks great in my room. It was a little heavy so I had to crawl in the attic to add braces to make sure it was stable. Better to be cautious. The installation was easy to understand just follow the directions. I have put many ceiling fans up. The remote portion to communicate with the remote is the only part difficult to install but all of them are you just have to take your time. Fan blades are 2 types to match decor. I love having a remote ceiling fan.

This 54 inch ceiling fan is awesome. The installation was a breeze with the easy to follow directions. THe hardest part of the installation was deciding which side of the blades to use. The design is sturdy and well made. The light fixture is unique and very energy efficent . The remote can spoil you real quick. No need to get out of the chair to adjust the speed or dimming of the light..

Fan looked great. Sadly it would intermittently stop working. No wiring issue or other detectable source of problem. I would gladly have just replaced the same fan. Unfortunately, the fan was now unavailable online or at any store (I was crossing 2 states). Okay, figured I'd try a warrant option. NOPE, HomeDecorators Collection is owned by Home Depot and along with the launch codes to the nuclear weapons, the contact info to report a claim is off limits to the general public. An added point of frustration is warranty issues... are ONLY accepted with a MAIL IN request? No email, No phone number, no online form. Print, fill out and snail mail to one of the largest USA companies. With more than enough time wasted on the project I shopped for similar low-profile fan and paid double what I did for this one. My husband was thrilled to death to build and replace another fan for a rental home after just doing the same exercise a few weeks prior. Fast forward to today, with the goal of returning said defective fan to HD and thought I'd help out by printing the online-order (as store order #'s are different than online). Yet again, another fail and waste mission as the "view order" won't populate and print from the HD website. Overall, poor experience. I had such high hopes, really liked the low-profile dimensions, fan speed and price point but unless you've got a few hours to burn... keep looking for another product and accomplish the task in a single push.
