I liked the appearance of the building, so I bought it. I ended up making a boatload of changes and upgrades as I live on the water in the hurricane prone gulf coast. 1. Starting with floor/foundation - threw away the 2x4's and OSB flooring. Used doubled up 2x6 treated floor joists on 6x6 treated pilings concreted into ground and 3/4" plywood decking over a moisture barrier. 2. Everything came in lengths/sizes to fit inside a 4' x 6' pallet. So headers and footers were all spliced together 2x4's. I bought 16' and 10' 2x4's to have full length headers and footers. 3. I doubled up the studs. 4. Bought the windows. They simply suggest cutting them in to the siding with no framing. I added 2x4 window framing. 5. Bought the octagon window for front of building on top of arched doorway. In the pallet packing process, they shot staples all through the plastic window trim pieces. I threw the window away as it was unusable. 6. Building came with patterned OSB siding. Probably would have been ok for a few years. I ended up putting 5/8" plywood sheathing around the entire building and then used hardie plank siding to match my house and garage. I also didn't use the 1x4 and 1x6 trim pieces but used hardie trim. 7. Roofing came with a bunch of small pieces of OSB that would go together like a scratch quilt. I bought and used 1/2" plywood instead. 8. Front eve design was very flimsy, relying on the front eve basically being attached only to the OSB quilt work roofing panels and the thin soffit. No connection to the building framing. I added framing. 9. Part of the kit was used as packing materials, inclining the front and rear eves. All were damaged in shipment by the forklifts used to move the kit. I had to remake all 4 as they were damaged. 10. I used the doors and door tracks. These I liked. Overall, to get what I really wanted, I spent about twice the cost of the building kit. 60-70% of this was due to upgrades I wanted, such as hardie siding and trim. 30-40% was to make the basic building a decent building (full length headers/footers, foundation, roofing, replacing damaged pieces, etc). If I had it to do over, I would have built this from scratch rather than this kit. Would have been able to get what I really wanted easily for the price of the kit.

Very labor intensive and does not come with roof shingles and roof materials

Shed is alot of work to put together. Instructions lack tremendous detail and leave you guessing for most of the construction...especially the finishing trim and roofing. Also, floor kit is only 5/8" plywood that is not pressure treated. I would recommend buying the material separately through the Depot...you'll save money and get better quality. However the shed does look great when finished. I hope it holds up to the elements.

if you're looking for a shed that comes with basically four walls that are already assembled (as I was), then this is not the shed for you. When it first arrived, it was nothing but a big crate of basically pre-cut lumber. I'm not a real handy guy, so I immediately became quite nervous. But, a friend of mine got me calmed down and started on putting it together, and after it was all over (six days later) I actually felt pretty good about what I'd accomplished. It looks great, and the instructions were VERY good - very detailed. Not a lot of cutting involved, either. And, the price is fantastic. Best price I could find for the size and look. It really doesn't look like a cheap shed at all. (Perhaps they can sell it so cheap because the buyer has to do ALL the assembly, though.) But, overall, I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. I'd recommend it to anyone who's not afraid of basically taking on a week long project. I do wish they'd advertised it as such, though.
