Good size tub for good size people
What we like about the tub is it is a 6ft tub and I'm 6'4". This tub allows me to be able to use the tub. Many of the tubs in houses are between 41/2ft and 5ft. These tubs are uncomfortable I tend not to use them so they become wasted space. With the size of this tub I can get in and enjoy the hot bubbles. I didn't like that you have to buy a drain for the tub. Since you can't use the tub without the drain then the tub should come with a drain and HD can sell other optional drains. Also, my tub had a hose clamp that was leaking. Not sure if it was because the clamp wasn't all the way on the fitting or if the clamp was too loose. We were able to fix the clamp and tub was in good operational condition.

Though I rated this whirlpool good in value and Average in Quality it is actually excellent in both save for one thing, the back jets, the placement of the back jets could not have been a worse choice. They are much higher up on the tub side walls meaning that if I empty my 30gal hotwater heater into this tub while adding cold water (to achieve a tub of warm water) for a total of approx. 45 gallons, the water level just barely reaches the top of the back jets. Aside from this the jets are so high up that they don't do much good to message as this is primarily where your back rests all of your weight against the tub partly because of the human bodies structure and partly because of the tub design, so the majority of the time the jets are defused by the weight of your body. Also, being the jets are so high up if you move your back off of them in one direction or another it creates the thumb on the garden hose effect and sprays water all over that side of the bathroom under high pressure. However if you sit up completely or are not putting your back over them they tend to spray wildly and soak the bathroom unless you can fill the tub with 55Gal + of water to sufficiently cover them which would be almost to within 3" of the top of the tub also meaning you can't relax down into the tub and have to remain up right because the water level would then be on your face if you did relax down. Besides all of this because the back jets are so high and with the design of the back of the tub causing the body to put most of it's weight in this spot where the back jets are placed the jet aperture also dig into your back at the base of your shoulder blades, this does not make for a very comfortable or relaxing experience. One last thing is that it does not fit two, although oversized it may only fit one very large person, but because of the indentations for "arm rests" which do not work and you can't use, there is then no room for a couple. I've had this tub for almost 2 years now and use it often I surmise this tub is best suited to those who are Over 6'10" tall and exceeding 350lbs in this case the jets may be in the correct placement in relation to body placement in the tub and the arm rests may be of some use, though still not feasible for a couple to use.

comfortable, and so far so good
I have had this for several years, and no big problems as of yet (I hope I did not jinx myself). I am online today because the rotary dial tub stopper has always been a bit lacking - not lifting high enough, especially with the weight of water on it, so today I took it apart, adjusted the pivot hole setting and reinstalled. I was glad to find this serviceable from the topside-although I do not like it's design. I started hearing sounds like a bearing in the pump motor almost immediately - and routinely spray the shaft with WD40 - still not sure if it is a bearing sound, although the spray does quiet it - so that is worrisome. I bought the tile bead kit - but forgot to install it when I dropped the tub in (dummy), and bought the heater, but I have not installed it. I used a whole house Rheem 9.8 GPM tankless hot water heater dedicated to this tub, so I have more than enough HOT water. I just drain and refill a bit to keep it hot. Someday I may install the heater - I ran the electric -- I just haven't needed it yet. This model only has 8 jets, so you can not really get a message on specific areas, but it does make a tub of churning water. As another reviewer mentioned - the jets tend to spray all over if you are not careful to keep you body on them like a shield.

      Just ok
We've had this for a few months now. One of the jets was leaking within a couple weeks. Several service calls later, it appears to be fixed finally. The slant at the back of the tub is too much of an angle and when you lay back with the jets on, water sprays up your back and onto everything behind you.

I knew that a normal size tub would not allow for a comfortable relaxing time. I bought two 5ft tubs before I realized this 6ft tub would be the only one that would satisfy. I would buy it over again anytime.

This is not a 6 foot tub. It is 6 feet from end to end, but I am5 foot10 and could not lie down in this tub

moved tub out out of bathroom after dry fit rough in thought it was lite put it in front of 4 foot window when looking at the side could see sunshine glaring through gelcoat a little closer examination could see little to no fiberglass reinforcement to check this take a flashlight to all point above and below waterline co may say gel coat is good enough but for a 1000$ i don,t want cracking in arm rest, jets or drains save time ck first build to last assemble to value
