Overall a very good unit as an auxiliary heat source for a room. I have a large bedroom with cathedral ceilings, which makes for a very chilly room as most of the heated air gets lost to the upper part of the room [ a little thing called physics :) ] . This unit provides the additional heat I need in the room even on a low thermostat setting. In a smaller room with normal (8 foot) ceilings, this unit would probably be able to be a sole heat source. Mostly happy with this unit. I only have a few small complaints. The unit's thermostat is calibrated in numbers, not temperature. In addition, it is an old school mechanical thermostat. Come on! It's 2019! How about an accurate digital thermostat. I see other posts have added a separate external thermostat to compensate for this. i may have to do the same. Lastly since this unit is a convection heater (with no fan), it's operation is relatively silent. It would be nice if their was a pilot lamp to show when the unit is operating. Small little items that if addressed in the future models would make this an excellent heater.

This heater is attractive and fairly easy to install. The materials used seem a little "flimsy." In fact, as soon as I had it mounted on the wall I noticed the very top fin on the upper vent was sticking out--apparently it had broken loose from the wire that was to have secured it, and as yet I have not found a tool to remove what appears to be the front cover to get to the defect. As far as doing the job as a convection heater, I think it is fine. I just don't know how long it will last. (And I have yet to contact Stiebel Eltron to see what kind of warranty/customer service is available to correct this problem.)

This heater is great. Is heats our bathroom very easily, in fact it is a little too hot for our small bathroom (35 sq ft next to an open hallway) but no complaints there. We also put one in a bedroom (110 sq ft) and it seems to be better for this size. Only complaint is that the dial feels a little cheap, and the dial reads 1-5 (5 being the hottest) but the heater will not register on until you get to 3. So, I wish it would put out a little less heat for a cooler setting, but I knowingly put in some pretty serious heaters in a small space so it would likely feel best in a slightly larger room. Love that there is no fan, totally silent, very nice heat feel, and no smell from the heater. It does get hot on the top of the heater while the face stays warm but not too hot, but, you would have to hold your hand there for a bit to really start to burn you, which seems unlikely.

Works great. No fan motor to wear out. Curious to see what it does to power bill during extreme cold.

The electrician just installed Stiebel Eltron convection heater yesterday. So far we are pleased. It heated our north pole master bath last night and was wonderfully comfortable. I'd like to be able to give another review in about three months after some experience with it. I may be able to give an excellent rating then but it is too soon to do so now.

The heater has been providing good constant heat to our bathroom good for extra heat to the space.

Looks nice and seems good, however I think I’ll have to return it, because I was told the wattage is too much for my wiring.

Easy installation, nice look for the price, quiet operation (the only sound is the click of the internal thermostat). I have been quite happy with it.

the heat doesn't really come out much - it more radiates and the heater gets super hot to the touch.

Mounted on a wall in a poorly insulated half bathroom located in my home's addition. Works really well, I'm impressed that the thermostat keeps the temperature so consistent. We'll see how it holds up in the winter months (it gets cold enough to freeze pipes!)

I purchased two and they are very quiet and seem to work well so far, although I installed them in the spring and won't know for sure until next winter. A concern I have is that Home Depot specifications show these heaters effective for a much higher square footage than the product literature and other web sources. I'm not sure if the Home Depot specs are accurate. An installation issue I encountered due to trying to cover over old forced air vents was that options for placement were limited because the wires coming from the heater are not very long. A few more inches on the length of wires coming from the heater would have made positioning of the mounting screws easier.

A fairly effective heater and not obtrusive in appearance. Note the temperature control thermostat is on the top of the unit, so if it is mounted high on a wall, you can’t see it and have to reach up and over the right top corner of the unit to adjust it. On/off switch on the side is convenient in this location. I hardwired with 12AWG flex for a super sturdy connection from wall box.

This heater is nice. Easy to install. This one replaced an expensive fan heater in my daughter bed room because she complained the old fan heater making noise that she can't sleep. I wired this heater to an existing outlet fine. Since this heater does not come with the wire, making sure you connect the correct electrical wire type the same with existing wire type you have in the outlet. Most home electrical wire for outlet is either type 12/2 or 14/2 wire. Do not connect different type of wire from the outlet to the heater. My daughter bed room is about 150sq feet. I turned this heater to number 4 and it heated from 64F in the room to 70F in one hour (outside temp was 39F). Be careful with small children because the heater frame an front panel are very hot. I have noticed the back panel is very hot too. The reason I gave this heater 4 stars instead of 5 stars because this heater is the wall mount but it does not come with the screws. Without screws then how do you mount this heater on the wall? I had to drive to hardware store to buy a box of screws. Overall, this heater is a good heater I think.

Easy installation according to my contractor. Quiet when on. Hardly hear it running.

I like the space saving design of the heater as well as the safety of hardwiring versus a corded heater. It has performed nicely and I expect many years of service.
