Our contractor recommended this and it looks and works great. The halogen lights are bright and have three settings and the vent is powerful and also has three settings. It looks great with our stainless steel range as well.

Don't waste your money on this product. The quality of the Broan Allure Range Hood has gone downhill since we last purchased one. The workmanship is inferior and the fan design was changed from a bladed fan in the center of the hood to a "hamster wheel" style that is now offset to one side. The housing and damper make a noisy rattle at the high fan speed, unlike our previous Broan hood. The bare metal edges of the fan housing rattle and buzz when the fan is turned on because the metal sheets are not fastened together where they touch other metal or meet at a corner. Our previous Broan hood was not fabricated like this! Paid over $300 for this piece of junk and paid for installation on top of that. The box says it's Broan's "Best" range hood, but we will never buy another Broan.

I do have an issue in that I purchased some LED lights for this unit and interestingly enough, the right light never turns completely off. It stays on at a very low intensity even when all the lighting levels are activated and turned off. I am assuming that since these are LEDs that there is some stray voltage in the unit at the right light which causes that side to glimmer.never

It’s very good ..

Louder than expected.

i've had this item for a few years, and have always had problems with the lights. When I change bulbs, I have to be careful because the clip does not hold firmly. I then have to take apart and re snap in place. It's very disappointing, as I paid so much for it, and really thought it would be great, ah not so much.

It works great however, install was quite difficult. The drill didn't fit inside when attaching It to the cupboard. It was very heavy to hold up and screw in. Besides the difficulty installing, it exceeded our expectations and is quiet and very bright.

Just as described ....easy to install.

Perfect fit where old range hood was previously.

Met exprctations; replaced same unit that we had for 15 years.

Received the shipment on time, we love the new Broan vent hood, it was a replacement for an old Broan that lasted several years before the light switch went out. We were going to repair the old hood but it was going to cost around 200.00$, so the choice was obvious, easy to install and so far it's working great, the fan is super quite.

The unit arrived broken, I had to wait for parts and had to repair it myself. The installation was difficult as there was too little space to get a marker into to note the hole placement. Overall experience was bad. I thought Broan made good American products as in the past. Now they are cheap quality and I'm concerned it will hold up.

It made it a year with very light use and the motor is going bad and home depot nor nutone will stand behind the product. Go with a better brand that has better reviews.

Haven't used the product yet. It is part of a kitchen remodeling project which is not yet completed.

Low noise, does a good job removing Cooking odors. Three speeds for the fan and lights is a nice feature.

We were initially very happy with this product. I like the style, three fan speeds and three light speeds. However our lights started working only on and off, and now don't work at all. After paying a repairman to come and take a look at the hood, it turns out that electricity is still going into the unit but the control panel is fried. That piece is $206 to purchase!! Insane for an appliance that was $300 to begin with. I would NOT recommend this to anyone. Appliances should last longer than a couple of years. This is clearly a manufacturing defect.

I am disappointed for a product in that price range. The air gets sucked in thru the holes where the light bulbs are. The right side of the range blows air down instead of sucking it in, The fan is installed in left hand side. I tried to seal the top of the tin plate with foam from a roll. Its still sucks in air thru light bulb housing. It is a nice and quiet Unit...but mine is not designed properly.

LED bulbs, if used stay on all the time. In order to turn the lights off completely Halogen or Incandescent bulbs must be used. 2 Halogen bulbs at 50 watts each = 100 W 2 Incandescent bulbs at 40 watts each = 80 W 2 LED bulbs at 7 watts each = 14 W The LED bulbs will not turn off completely!! That BROAN sells a product that is not compatible with today's energy savings technology is not acceptable in my opinion!

Allure 2 in stainless steel looks great and vents very well.

The Allure 2 is easy to install and efficient. Clean lines, nice lights and a powerful fan. A compliment to any kitchen.

The instructions were clear on how to assemble the exhaust hood. The problem is getting the screws located which hold up the unit. It works better if one makes two pieces of wood placed on the stove to hold up the unit. Put in the back screws first and use a long 15 inch screw driver. Since the top of the unit metal supports are made a bit thin, the Fan edge may rub on the bottom support. If so the bottom may be bent with a screw driver to free the rubbing. So far it has given us good service since installed 3 weeks ago.

This purchase was the worst I've ever made. The fan makes a lot of noise, the flaps in the hood make a loud flapping noise. The noise level is much worse than my old Boam. The fan is on one side of the hood, not in the middle therefore does not suck up smoke, etc. from cooking.

The product was suggested by the sales person at the store! It is EXACTLY what we wanted - good value for money. It was easy to install; instructions were clear and systematic. It works exactly according to what was promised. It is silent, draws fumes and smoke effectively and eliminates most of the smoke and odors. It is very easy to operate and maintain. We are delighted.

all things considered a good product and value for the dollar

I installed this range hood to replace another, less capable Broan range hood, which did not remove smoke or odor well. Controls and performance are OK, with a choice of three speeds and three light levels. My problem--and it is a serious one--is that the lamps failed, with the light socket actually falling apart. Everything was fine for several years, until the left bulb went out. It is very difficult to grasp the bulb to remove it, as there is zero clearance around the bulb in its opening. After removal and replacement, the new bulb would go out at random times, but back on with some playing with the bulb. Replaced the bulb again--same problem. In fact, original "burned out" bulb turned out to not be burned out at all, but still worked when transferred to the other socket. After a while, the whole bulb with socket just fell off and dangled inside the hood, and now does not go on at all. Repair will be expensive--so a hood that was expensive to begin with is brought down by shoddy design and subpar construction of a simple lamp socket. Not sure if it is worth the cost, versus a new fan. Will, at a minimum, require removal and disassembly before I can even see if it can be reasonable repaired. I am not impressed. Unlikely to buy Broan again.

I was disappointed in this hood from the start and now, two years later, remain so. First - the "main" fanflow is to the left of the unit (when facing it cooking at the stove). That means that, if you are cooking on the right side units, you can really only get suction on the highest fan setting. Why it's not uniform across the unit is beyond me. Second - the lights are not within sealed units - that means they are open and readily exposed to the moisture of the steam that the fan takes in. This moisture causes condensation in the light socket and now I have one that doesn't work at all and needs to be replaced. With the cost of the replacement part and then labor to do it - makes it not worth doing. I will be purchasing another unit, by another manufacturer, and ensure that the fan operates across the entire unit or at least MIDDLE so that it's even and provides better coverage. The second thing I will look for is better placement of the lights and ones that are protected from the condensation so they won't corrode and stop working. All in all, very disappointed in this unit. I purchased it due to the name and reputation, but sadly it appears that quality in Broan has gone down over the years. I wouldn't recommend this unit to anyone.

Fan has good features and does a good job of venting.
