Grill Plate flakes where heating element is
The Grill Plate Porcelain coating flakes off on top where the heating element resides on bottom if you leave it on high heat when cooking; I used soft brush to clean, no soap - I've had a porcelain coated grill plate before - Followed instructions on cleaning, it just seems like the high heat kills it; after a couple high heat cooking sessions, you can even take the coating off by lightly scratching with your fingernail. Decided to keep it (since condo options are limited), but had to order aftermarket grill plates to sit on top of the element.

Great Grill for your town-home or Condo
Great Grill for your town-home or Condo. I live in a condo so gas or charcoal is not an option. This grill is great can get over 600 degrees perfect for searing your meet to hold in all the flavor. hold temperature when set as long as you don't keep opening the lid. The unit temperature is accurate so you will get a perfect medium steak if you set the temperature around 160 or 200 and grill each side for around 8 minuets . Your steak should be approximately 1-1/4" to 2" thick . You may have to experiment a little to fully enjoy this grill . If you use allot of season it will stick to the grate if you don't keep it sprayed with vegetable oil.

larger grilling surface than expected
The large box arrived and this grill was VERY well packaged for transport. It was in a super sturdy box, with Styrofoam packaging, including a very well prepared instruction booklet. The main grill dome is completely assembled, however; the base platform, wheels, and the upright support need to be assembled. It took my engineer husband 45 minutes to assemble the product without any difficulty. The grill weighs 51 pounds, so he opted to assemble right in our entry where the UPS man delivered. I am very impressed with the size of the product. It is larger than other electric grills we have viewed in the stores. The grill should be able to hold up to 12 burgers, and probably 24 hot dogs. It has a second level for warming buns or other uses. This is a very sturdy product. It is not flimsy. The grill pan is large and weighted. I can easily use my grilling pans for vegetables or other smaller foods. The temperature probe on the top of the dome measures temperatures to 600 degrees F. The electric temperature controller has a selection of low to high for grilling. The control is very similar to any electric skillet that I have used in the past. Overall, I would recommend this product just on style, structure, and appearance over others I have looked at in stores.

Better Pato Grills Are Available
After having a previous brand of electric grill for two years, we decided it was time to get a new one. The Brinkmann looked like a quality product, but after using it several times, I realized why it was an inexpensive electric grill. First, the product did not go together easily. Many of the threads stripped and holes did not line up perfectly. After getting the grill together, I realized the grill was a plate rather than a grate. The meat sat in its own juices and did not really "grill" in the traditional sense. The plate was divided in the middle so my large cuts did not fit well, taking up much needed real estate on an already limited cooking surface. Also, steam that was produced during cooking built up inside and began to run down the lid and onto my deck. This formed a ring of water around my grill (which startled me the first time I saw it). The plate does heat more around the actual element thus not an even cooking surface. I would go on, but I think it is sufficient to say I would not recommend this grill. There are better patio grills on the market.

We love this grill!!!
We purchase this Grill today. We stay at a Apartment and this is the perfect size for our patio. We used it today we made stakes, corn on the cob, and chicken. Our food came out delicious!!! Can even tell the difference between a electric girl vs gas. We are very happy with this purchase Not to mention very easy to clean if you have the proper supplies

Returned Grill after Using it Twice
The major drawback was that the grill didn't retain heat after opening the lid to turn over the meat. The temp went down almost to zero. Then I needed to reheat it again. The second problem is that the grill takes lots of time and care to clean properly after use.

Not Bad for an Electric Grill
Happy this grill was easy to assemble because it came with no instruction booklet. Have called the number on box numerous times to request a booklet, warranty info only to get recording asking our time zone and to be told that someone would call back. Two weeks now, hasn't happened. Tried to request it online....model number doesn't exist. Decent grill, a little more difficult to clean than I would like.

        Excellent patio grill
Even though 2 people are recommended for assembly, I did it myself with no problems. Instructions were easy to follow. So far I've only made stir-fry, and it turned out great. There is a drain slot right of center, so I was careful to keep some of the smaller bits away from that area. Probably not the most practical use for the grill, but it worked (I use a perforated stir-fry pan designed for grilling when I'm using our gas grill). I'm eager to try burgers, steaks and dogs. It heated up quickly-- a big plus. I have a gas grill, but I often opt not to use it when it's just my husband and me and end up cooking indoors. This electric grill is a perfect size for smaller gatherings, it's less messy (clean-up is a breeze), and I predict I'll use it again and again.

Heats up fast - takes diligence to remain clean
Assembling took about an hour. There are parts were you have to be precise in order for the screws to set in exactly - leaving little room for any error. The surface is a non-stick kind-of-surface (very similar to that in which a famous boxer promotes) and would benefit from pre-treating to make sure it food doesn't get stuck and charred on there. It heats up real fast, and I can't imagine using the setting beyond mid way. It has a temperature indicator and a power indicator. It's nice to have an upper rack, for buns or vegetables. For the grease to roll off, it really needs to be a very flat surface.

        Worst grill ever to clean
I bought this grill with the expectation that the grill top would be very easy to rinse and clean. It took me half an hour to cook barbecue chicken, and 2 hours to clean the grill surface. The grill cooks well as advertised. The problem is grill top surface does NOT Detach from the grill so you have to take water and sponge and clean at the site you use it. It is the worst mess you have ever seen. The only thing good I can say about it is that Home Depot, where the salesman also thought it would easy to clean, took it back when I returned to the store the next day--sans fingernails from scrubbing! Don't buy this grill unless you love to clean up more than eat.

          An excellent barbeque for condo
I am not a handy man, but together with my daughter we assembled it within one hour, it was easy and the instructions were precise. The barbeque needs a very little space and easy to move and store. !750 watt is a lot of heat, which spreads very evenly, so my steaks were done perfectly and i am looking forward to barbeque ribs. We are very happy with it, an excellent barbeque for condo.
