Going on my 4th month with this seat and it's still going strong. Wife can enter the bathroom immediately without fear of asphyxiation...it's worth its weight in gold. Previous reviewers comments regarding fan are suspect since these seats use D cell batteries. Mine gets used 4-5 times a day for 4 months now, and batteries just fine.

I bought 2 of the original motion sensored deodorizing fan systems. The fan would turn on as soon as the bathroom light went on. The fan stayed on for at least one mijnute until I manually turned it off. Forget trying to sneak by the toitet without using it. I went through a case of 48 batteries in 1 month. (AA) It is also discusting to clean, which is almost every day.
