I had the silver Bravos!.. My ex husband will even be able to figure out how to use them.... I've upgraded to my new Bravo XLs for my new home!! I adore them and love that they sing to you... Ding,ding...ding,ding, ding!!!

I just washed 2 loads and it cleans better than my not so very old "he" machine. The only con I have it's a bit loud, but I'm sure I will be very happy with my Maytag!

I have owned this washer and dryer for several years. I like it’s capacity. I also like that you can make changes to program, ie size, water temp, etc while it is running. You don’t have to cancel and start again. I had service once on panel and now I think the bearings are going, but otherwise fine. The con, and it drives me crazy. The top of both the washer and dryer are slanted toward front. If you are like me, you always have something sitting on dryer or washer and it falls on floor sometimes when they aren’t on and all the time if they are running. It bothers me so much, I had to write a review. Otherwise I like them and like large capacity. Otherwise I like it.

Bought this washer along with the matching dryer. It worked great for the first 4.5 years, then the machine began to get louder and louder during the spin cycle. We had it looked at and it was determined that it was the bearing going out because of a poor seal design. I was told this wasn't covered under the drive Warranty and the parts and labor to replace could almost buy me a new washer. Extremely disappointing that a washing machine doesn't even make it to the 5 year mark without an expensive repair. I've already had to replace the fill valve on this unit after only 3 years because that failed and would leak water into the drum. Another fun thing, lately the machine has been turning on by its self and making other random chimes when not in use. We've now been looking at replacing this washer with a non- whirpool/maytag product because we're not sure if this is a systemic problem or just a poorly made unit.

I bought this washer 2 and a half years ago. Aweful. It is very rough on your cloths. Most of my fabrics are wrinkle resistant. With my old washer I could skip the dryer entirely. Now I have to use the dryer to help reduce the number of wrinkles followed by ironing. This has dramatically increased our energy consumption. We also have to rewash our cloths about 1/3 of the time. The dryer stops before the cloths are fully dry. If the cloths are not removed promptly, they begin to stink. This has also increased our energy consumption. Ripped off and cheated. A continual source of household arguments and stress. Which washer do we buy to replace it? Will it destroy my clothing? I can not afford another mistake. I regret not repairing my old washer. It did a much better job cleaning and consumed much less energy given that I could skip the dryer and never had to rewash. It was also much faster. I own the Bravo HE low-water washer. My whites are now beige, wrinkled, and I smell bad.

I bought the washer in 20009 with the extented warranty. I always heard maytag was a good product . The controll panel went out . If i bought the part and had it installed it would cost me just as much to go by another one. Not happy . I thought it would last longer than 7 years.

Top load Bravo purchased 4 year ago almost washes clothes with little water and spin very fast to limit the drying time. However, it needed a brand new drive train (2 bearings, shaft and seal washer), not covered by the 10-year warranty on parts that do not wear: rotor, stator and stainless steel tub. Challenging do-it yourself project, you need to buy a $100 bearing insertion tool. Total $245 + 2.5 hours. If you ask for the repairman, you will have to fork 60% of the value of new washer. Then you dispose of 60 Kg of scrap steel, is this what we want for our planet?

I retired my old 20 year old Whirlpool after a contractor working at my house set the machine on a old laundry bottle jamming it up ... looking at all the wash machines out there I decided on the Maytag Bravo ... I'm glad I did ... I never new washing could be so much easier with the easy controls and large capacity I'm able to save time ... my whites have never been this clean and the agitation does not wreck my clothes or delicate fabrics ... highly recommend the Bravo .... Bravo Maytag ,,,

I bought this washer after our old washer died. I had a top-load high-efficiency washer and it had served me well. This one is doing a great job - just wish it had a "delay wash" function. I used it a lot on my previous washer.

It is the quietest washer I have ever owned. I am also very excited about reducing my water consumption. I LOVE it!!

We bought this just a few weeks ago and are very happy with our choice. This washing machine is the best I have ever had. The fabric softener automatic feature is the best, no more forgetting to put it in and then having to rinse again because I forgot it.It absolutely wrings the clothes out so well, the drying time is now shorter.

This dryer is amazing! I have had it almost a month & I couldn't be happier. On my cleaning days, cleaning all the linens in the house and laundry only takes a couple of hours, compared to the entire day! I'm excited to see the water and electricity bills- because I know they will be lower!

Bought this a couple weeks ago and very happy with the machine. My only suggestion would be the ability to modify the water settings. Otherwise the clothes are clean and almost dry based on the spin cycle used.

Can't stand it - takes twice as long to do a load of laundry then our old machine. Anyone have a machine that isn't an HE? I will trade straight up. Doesn't spin dry - clothes are soaking wet and take forever to dry. Don't know how it saves money. It is always beeping. If there was a negative rating I would give it but 1 star is the lowest.

Have had this for a few months now and have no complaints about it. Works great. Love the power wash feature for my husbands work clothes (he's a mechanic).

My two year old Maytag 4.8 cu. ft. Bravos washed large loads and also looked great. I also had (and still have) the matching dryer. The washer splashed water between the tub and housing early on. Repairmen could not resolve the problem. Recently the bearings went out. The cost to repair was so expensive that it made more sense to buy a new one. We had an extended warranty too. BIG PROBLEM! Maytag doesn't make the 4.8 any longer! I had to settle for a 4.5 which looks goofy next to my nice glass-front dryer. The new washer lacks some of my favorite features that the 4.8 had, too. I am very disappointed. The 4.5 cleans the laundry but I have to wash more smaller loads.

I have owned for about a month. I like how the washer extracts water from clothes so it takes less time to dry.

I love my new washer. I have had to relearn how to do laundry but our clothes are cleaner and less hassle.

Puts all negative reviews to shame. Husband does garage work and construction. heavily soiled clothes consistently clean, follow instructions, clothes are not overly wrapped up, greatly reduced dryer run time due to very good spinout

There is no soak feature and I don't feel the whites come clean enough

I bought this machine and have not been happy with the way it cleans my bulky items and dark clothes. It does not allow enough water in to even wet the material thoroughly and leaves soap and stains. Wish it had manually adjustable water levels.

Washer seems to be working fine but I did not appreciate getting one that obviously had been banged around. I paid for a new washer and that normally implies no dents.

I had the last model from Maytag bravo which I enjoyed very much, now I have the new Maytag bravo XL.
