I needed white to match this newly renovated home but all I could find was chrome in stores and online. Home Depot online was the only place I could find this item in white.

When we bought our house the guy who sold it to us apologized for the sorry state of the disposal flange. The white coating had mostly peeled off exposing the silver metal beneath even though it wasn't that old. We replaced it ourselves shortly after. Knowing that the first one had not stood up well I treated the replacement with care, being careful to never scrub it or treat it harshly. Nevertheless, within 2 years it looked about the same as the old one. The finish had peeled off in multiple places. The inside walls were deteriorated and discolored. This is an inexpensive piece, but it is a pain to replace, since it is attached to the garbage disposal, which must be removed first. For that reason you want it to last as long as the disposal. This one won't. It is an incredibly inferior product. The finish should be baked on enamel, not a flimsy plastic coating.

Garbage disposal bracket kept popping off of it.

The product was what I ordered but it should have at least included the slip ring.

Flange fit perfectly, arrived in excellent packaging. Would prefer that these were made differently, however. The plastic coating on our old flange tore after just a few years. After the initial tear, it continued to peel away exposing the metal construction of the flange itself. This replacement is made the same way, so I am doubtful it will have a longer life span than the original.
