Extrememly disappointed
Extremely disappointed when I received this product. I recently moved but left the console unopened and in the shipping box so that it would stay properly packed during the move (I hired professionals who took great care of my belongings). I was so excited to open it to put it and put it in my new entryway, but it was completely damaged. There were cracks in the leg tops where the screws were attached for assembly. There were cracks in some of the high spots of the legs. The molding finish had chipping and the molding was not form-fitting, leaving gaps around the drawer area. It was cheaply made in every aspect. The only quality thing about the table was the knob for the drawer. Such a shame, because if the quality was better, it would make a cute piece of furniture.
This is a nice accent table that would be good for displaying items or for sitting by an entry door to hold purses, keys, wallets, etc. It also has a nice drawer for smaller items.
Assembly:
Assembly is fast and easy. An allen wrench is included along with 8 bolts and 8 washers. Assembly time is 15 minutes or less, you just attach the four legs with two bolts each.
Fit and Finish:
The legs fit tight, no wobbling, the drawer slides without jumping off the upper single guide track and the entire piece has a semi gloss black finish that looks good with old and new decor styles. All assembly points are screwed and glues together. The material seems to be a mixture of real wood for the legs and particle board for other areas.
Size:
This table is 32 inches wide, 28 inches tall and 15 inches deep at the widest point of half oval style.
Overall:
Overall this table looks good, it feels sturdy and it does a great job of displaying small items, artwork or used as a catch-all table by the door. I would recommend it.
I received this table today and am VERY excited about the really nice quality and construction of the product. The table requires minor assembly, which is basically attaching the four legs. The Allen wrench is included to attach the 2 bolts to each leg. It took my husband about 20 minutes to complete, as several of the bolts were not long enough to attach with the included washers. We decided not to use some of the washers and it does not impact the sturdy legs at all. This is a really nice table, with a deep drawer. The table is going to be used in my library and computer room. It has a very nice black finish and the drawer operates smoothly. I like the drawer handle, as it is very classic in look and feel. This table would be perfect for an entry hall, a back hallway, and upstairs hallway, or even any type of hallway in the home. It is classic, nicely finished, and overall a really nice table.
Unless they have finally edited it, don't purchase this table going by the description. Look at the picture. The description at the time of this review states that the table has a lower shelf, marble top, and is rectangular. No it doesn't, no it isn't, and no it's not. Another issue I ran into was with the assembly. The bolts for the back legs are not long enough. As illustrated in the picture I attached, they reach the leg, but there is not enough length to catch a thread. Out of the four bolts for the two legs, I was able to get just one of them in. I had to go to my local Home Depot to get longer bolts, which were a tad too long, so instead of using a washer I used a nut to be able to tighten it properly.
After all of that, it is good quality once you put it together. You can't put anything too heavy in the drawer because there is no support underneath to keep it from tilting, but if you're a handy person you can probably fix that.
