the pole did not fit on this base- it was ruined teyi g to make it work

I assumed that they were aluminum ,NOT the flimsy plastic they turned out to be.I expect them to fail.I have a DOZEN of Gamma's lights in ALUMINUM which have held up pretty well though.The last 3 I bought for another property (resin version) are deteriorating severely on the tops where the solar cells are contained and make the property look very shabby. I am going to need to replace these 3 very soon,sadly on my OWN house.....

The base appeared to be the same as the original that came with the post I bought a few years ago. When I went to install the new base I found the mounting hole spacings to be a little shorter. Thus, I had to file each hole to make it fit over the existing mounting screws that are imbedded in the concrete pad. Time consuming.

Seemed lighter weight than the ones I was replacing. Hope they hold up.

I was able to mount the fixture directly to the base, but not the post that it has before.

This is cheap and cheerful. It looks good and works but made of incredibly cheap, thin walled cast aluminum. Only good for aesthetic appearance. Not at all good for any structural support whatsoever. Overall it has worked out for what I am using it for but I will be looking for one far more substantial when this one inevitably fails. I got what I paid for. I hope this helps.

This mounting base is a thin aluminum casting. It looks good. It has a nice satin black paint covering. It's light weight. It'll do its job and probably quite well. We bought quite a few for the townhome association. The post light (fixture) fits well on this base. If your going to install several bases, consider a cylindrical base. For those you (typically) only have to drill two mounting holes.

The pier mount adapter worked great. On time and in great shape.

Although this item was mis-ordered by me and I couldn't use it, it was of good quality and seemed fit for it's intended purpose.

the body is aluminum, will not rust, good finish, good for outside use, works as expected. i installed on a concrete column as a base for post lantern. only problem is the screws provided is not that strong, long and slim, broken easily. i have to use bigger stainless steel screw to replace the broken ones. otherwise, excellent product.

I bought two different adaptors for my post lights and returned these. These were not as well made as the ones I kept. Post in middle does not come up very high to provide enough stability for light fixture.
