The blender worked great for 4 days, and then the rubber ring broke. I was surprised when it started leaking while I was blending and even more upset to find a piece of rubber in my drink.

I have been using a vintage Oster Beehive for years. Still going strong but needed a new base which I haven't been able to find. Thought I would give this Beehive a try. I like the stainless steel beehive design. Out of the box, it's definitely not as good of quality. The lid is a thinner plastic material that doesn't fit as tight. The base ring is plastic as well. The stainless steel blade does not appear to be as heavy duty. I followed the directions and put the liquid in first, and bigger items on top. It did blend well and consistently. There is only a high speed and a pulse. It is loud and did smell the first few times I used it. I thought the motor was burning up at first but that seems to be going away. I have only made some hot sauces and smoothies with ice and with frozen fruit. I don't think this blender with hold up nearly as long as my other much older Oster. It suits my purposes but not sure I can recommend this for a heavy user.

I'm a smoothie guy. Every morning for years, I make a morning smoothie with my daily fruit and vegetables. Over the years, I have gone through a number of blenders from wear and tear. Mainly because they are made of plastic drive components This unit has a metal drive system. You can feel the difference in quality as soon as you pick the blender up with your hands. From the stainless steel shell and "ice-crusher" blades to the heavy gauge 6-cup dishwasher safe, Boroclass glass jar. Cleaning is very simple as the jar and blender blades are designed with user friendly ease of disassembly and assembly. Though the motor is a little on the loud side, I didn't find it annoying. The power switch is easy enough to use. The weight of the unit did not require me to use a free hand to hold it in place. It stayed put while in use. I added raw carrots to my test smoothie and the result did not have any gritty pulp. Same with berries. No see pulp. I don't give many products 5 stars, but this blender is deserving.

My old blender that I had for a few years just stopped working after I was blending ice for a smoothie. I just received this blender and it looks like it will be sturdy and durable. It only has two speeds but that's fine as the last one I had only had 2 speeds as well. The blade looks like it will do well in pulverizing ice cubes and it comes with a durable glass jar and it has an exclusive all-metal -drive for long durability. It also has a feeder cap for putting in additional ingredients.

The Oster 2-Speed Beehive Blender is the Very Best Blender I've had. Very Powerful 600 watt motor. No bells and whistles here, just one switch that goes up for on and down for pulse. I put in two cups of ice cubes and pulsed four or five times and through the switch to on and had ice as fine as a snow cone in seconds. Comes apart easily for clean up. Smoothies next.

If you desire a blender that will crush ice in 2 seconds, this is the blender to buy. Mixes everything we throw at it in a flash. So good, this purchase was for our best friends to make frozen drinks just like us.

It is perfect for my needs.

I previously had the original oster classic blender. It seemed to me to be a much stronger heavier duty built blender. This new osterizer behive blender does fine but does not blend as well in my opinion.

My old Oster gave it up after 20 years. My only disappointment with the new one is that the base is plastic. Otherwise, I use it almost daily and love it...very powerful.

I bought it for the simplicity as I didn’t need allot of fancy features. But every time I use it the motor smells as if it was going to burn out. I’ve only used it for smoothies. I think a 2 speed, slow and fast mode would be the best. Also the bottom comes unscrewed when trying to put it in the right place before you blend. Only good thing is it blends the ingredients well. I would not recommend to buy.

It is unreasonably loud. Will seek a replacement.

So far so good, the red color is nice, however I didn’t notice when ordered that is almost all made with plastic. Also, every time I’m using it smelling like if were burning.

Great product for any blending needs

The body is plastic. The product description makes is seem like the body is metal like the Beehive blender that it was replacing. This blender does not seem to be as powerful when blending frozen fruit and yogurt from smoothies as the metal body Beehive Oster blender that it replaced.

High speed is so loud I can only use the machine on low speed. I hope that I can exchange it for another that does not have the screaming loud noise!Please advise.

Easy assembly but bowl design needs improvement. Ingredients thrown up into lid. Otherwise it mixes well.
