This is a nice, solid piece. The one this replaced was less than two years old and the stopper had broken off due to rust, warranting this replacement. When I went to remove the master nut underneath, the entire thing broke into two parts (thereby rendering the removal step done!). The installation of this new one couldn't have been any easier. I traditionally ALWAYS use plumbers putty on every drain now, but the nice, large, thick silicone washers on this one somehow duped me into trying it without. I ALWAYS end up regretting that, but not a leak in sight once this was installed and tightened up. So that officially makes this the best drain I have ever installed!! Overall finished product looks very nice in my sink as well. (Note: I say plumbers putty because this is installed in a traditional style ceramic sink that is cast into/with the counter top. So you can't see through it, nor is it as smooth, like a glass bowl vessel sink. So this wasn't exactly the application it was designed for, but it was a direct replacement for what came with my vanity.)

still not the right one!!!! Not the overflow drain and still not the right length of threads to extend through sink and countertop. This is the second attempt

Perfect fit

Easy to install. Some instructions from Home Depot about installation procedure would have saved a trip to the store to talk to an expert.

The gasket were replaced with putty because they leaked. I probably put them on wrong, other than that it is excellent.

Water does not hold, had to add a thicker gasket. Not worth the money

Needed to install this umbrella drain on a vessel sink to prevent water from splashing out of the sink when running the faucet. It works like a charm. The drain is quite large and sits up a good bit (5/8") when open/up. The photo shows the drain in the closed/down position. My plumber had a hard time installing it without leaking but he was finally successful and we've had no issues with it. It's nice and heavy, seams well made. I expected it to look a little nicer though once installed- it looks a little cheap almost like a fake chrome not a high quality chrome. I did consider a much cheaper option from China at half the cost that probably would've looked just as good. But overall I'm pleased with this purchase.

Appears to be of good quality. Wish it had an over flow slot but one can be easily cut or drilled. Fit nicely and everything is metal no plastic parts..

The drain top is not a solid piece of metal as it appears it is plastic, and the top can break right off. Looks nice, which is what I am going for, but wish the product was made to last.

Drain installed easily in our new Kohler sink. Looks sharp!
