Blinds DO NOT stay adhered to the cardboard rod. Ordered 2 of these blinds and had to reinforce both with strong tape. Only 2 days after installation, both blinds fell from the rod. They may be fairly inexpensive, but wish I'd have kept looking and found something better.

It was so easy to install and the black out that this causes.

I needed a way to keep out the heat. This was so reasonably priced and does exactly what I wanted it to do.

I am on my 3rd time ordering the same two shades. I consulted customer service, watched the video, and even talked to a blind specialist. Even after these extremes my blinds have been cut an inch too short. I can't review the quality of the shades as they have never seen a window. I was guaranteed my blinds would be right this time. We shall see .

This product is just so, so. Not good, not bad. Directions were lousy and not thought out and one installed it rolls up and down crooked.

Shades work great. They are plain and look more black then Java. The back side that faces outside is a dark blue, I didn't know that when I bought them and am not crazy about that color being on the outside. For that reason I gave them 4/5 stars.

This was easy to install and does the job for a great price vs more expensive custom shades. It isn't spring loaded, but the attached chain (plastic) does the job fine - and for the price and our actual needs (opening/closing once a day when our kids wakes up), I'm not complaining. The only minor inconvenience was ours was delivered about a 1/4" too long, but a trip to our closest Home Depot store solved that for us - we had quick assistance at the cutting machine in the window treatment department at no extra cost. Also: the hardware was included. Previous reviews said it was not, but perhaps something has changed along the way; it was tucked in the bottom of the tube/box with the shade.

This shade works great. Helps keep the weather out and is an affordable alternative to the comparable custom window coverings.

My blackout blinds arrived in perfect condition. Be aware though, that these are fine, but very inexpensive, Asian-constructed blinds and aren't designed to be yanked or handled roughly without possibly breaking. I used a yard stick and level to ensure the roller brackets are perfectly parallel - a centimeter off and the blind will hang crooked. I'm very pleased at how they are blocking out this hot, Texas sun. :-)

Good quality and fast delivery and the product was packaged very good.

This product is good for blocking out the sun. I have a southern exposure so I need these for the spring and summer. I will take them down and put my sturdier blinds back up for the fall and winter. These shades are very functional. They are not high quality though, so if you purchase them, use them gently. For the price I paid, they suit my needs well.

Easy to assemble, easy to install. Not the greatest thing that you'll ever find, but is entirely sufficient to the task. Note: Do not become worried that they did not cut the shade to your specifications when your package arrives. Home Depot tends to put the excess shade into the packaging in order to stabilize the package. In my experience, as long as you measured correctly, the shade will be cut properly.

Easy to instal, look great. My only issue is I can't get them to hang straight down because they have crimps in them from packaging that I can get rid of. I am hoping they will fall out over time.

Love this product. They were a very dark brown match perfectly and block out light completely.

The curtain was barely glued to the cardboard rod.. came apart immediately when trying to assemble.

Looks good, flawed design in drawstring, very difficult to use without pulling drawstring loop apart due to cheap plastic construction, broke the first two screws' heads off with driver and replaced with higher quality screws without issue. Now that it's installed looks great, but would not recommend as the price was not worth the headache.

Works great! Didn't like the loop chain so I cut them and put a ball at the end's.

The width of the actual shade was not as indicated in the specifications. For instance, a 31" fixture is supposed to have a 30.5" shade. However, the width of the actual shade is only 29.875". Further, because of the mecahnism, the shade does not hang centered: too much space on the right compared to left. The uncenteredness is especially noticeable on a relatively narrow shade. The java color is nice and is as pictured; the back of the fabric is black.

We bought blackout curtains for our daughter's room and they pretty much did nothing. We needed something inside the window frame to really block the light. I googled custom blackout shades and found this. It was affordable and fit the window perfectly. It blocks the light on our long summer days and she's sleeping so much better as a result. I'd recommend this to anyone!
