It would be perfect except it's a little too large for the pipe. I'm using it, but I can easily pull it off. The screw doesn't tighten it down enough.

I am sorry for you inconvenience and I am not making excuses. However my experience tells me it may not be that the screw was to short. Most likely you vent pipe is not 11/2" but 1 1/4" Steal pipe is measured in Inside diameter not out side diameter. So 11/4" steel pipe will measure almost 11/2" on the outside and 11/2" will be almost 2". If you made the purchase based on measuring the pipe's out side diameter the screw would be to short.

The cap does its job. Nice to know something could be found quickly. Nothing exceptional about it...
The cap does its job. Nice to know something could be found quickly. Nothing exceptional about it. Price seems high for the lack of qualityand construction. I question the particular metal used as it could easily cause a spark if sharply contacted by another metal object. I bought two for now as I am unsure as to the longevity of the unit. When I find a better quality unit at any price I will purchase and install it. I will then throw this unit away.

Perfect when space is a concern
Due to recent stucco job I needed an offset vent cap. This was perfect and did the job beautifully. Metal is a little thin, thinner than it looks in the picture, but it doesn't need to be thick to do its job. Very pleased.
