The unit has a well made heater box that easily warms our entire living room. The wireless remote control is a big plus. The settings allow independent control of the log lighting, the flam lighting, and the back light. The finish on the wood is well done and attractive. You may want to consider a separate circuit to power the unit. There was one alignment issue with the wood frame but is not noticeable overall. The instructions are vague but that is typical of "do it yourself" assembly these days. The unit is attractive and works well and would be recommended.

      This turned out beautiful...Southern Enterprises is a nice company, if you have to contact them. We had a part that cracked and they did not hesitate to send us another at no cost to us! Very nice fireplace and exactly what I was looking for in height, width and thermostat. It has great options for lighting and "fire" intensity.

      Second time around!
      I bought this electric fireplace 2 years ago. I LOVED it. It put off great heat, was/is a solid unit and I loved all the features it had (lighting, thermostat, timer, etc)! I ended up moving across the continent and couldn't take it with me and was soooo sad and disappointed. When I landed in my new location though, I tore up the earth trying to find another one and recently got my second one! I put this one together on my own (a friend did the first one because that kind of thing really intimidates me) and it was very easy. It is a great product and is made of quality materials and I highly recommend it!

        Avery 45.5 Electrice Fireplace
        Arrived to my home in a timely manner and was in good shape. We opened the two boxes and read the directions as to how to assemble the fireplace. Each package was marked stating what it was used for and on which part of the fireplace it was to be used. It was assemble in little or no time at all and then the firewall was set in the bottom of the unit. Fireplace was placed in the Family Room and the instructions were read as to how to us it. All was done in a very professional manner and easy for a single woman to assemble and understand. Thank You.

          I love my fireplace!
          It took me a couple of hours to put together (I'm not mechanically inclined), but it turned out beautiful and I've gotten tons of compliments on it!!
