Two of these were bought in 2010. One of them has since developed a crack on the right side of bowl, which started a few years ago almost invisible, now sink leaks. Also, drain mount surfaces were not parallel, we had to make a tapered shim so the drains would fit properly. Second sink got some kind of brown stains that cannot be removed, even with paint stripper and then oven cleaner, they only became a bit lighter.
Well, they do look nice when new...

Really enjoy the sink!
The sink doesn't seem to be sloped quite enough. Liquids don't always drain out completely. Love the color and texture.

Nice upgrade!
I chose this design because of the concave curve to accommodate the faucet, and it is ideal. Love the bright white, with our new sand quartz countertop---best choice for our dark kitchen. I do work at keeping it bright by following manufacturer's instructions to rinse & wipe it out each night, and am taking seriously the need for a bottom protector. More diligence perhaps than necessary for our old stainless steel double sink, but it is more attractive, quiet, and accommodating.

Astracast single bowl kitchen sink
Just finished installing this sink as a replacement for a 46-year-old porcelain/cast iron sink that was beat up and beyond redemption. Fortunately, the new sink dropped right into the cutout for the old one. With the built-in clamps (similar to expansion anchors), the job of mounting took about 10 minutes. It took about 45 minutes to install the faucet. The only negative comment I could make relates to having to drill out the holes for the faucet mounting - fortunately, I had a set of carbide-tipped hole saws from my electrical contracting business, but even with them, the job was a little tricky. I don't know how else the manufacturer could deal with the variety of faucet mounting available, however.
The sink is really fine. It looks terrific, and should hold up better against chipping and scratching than the porcelain did. Since we don't handle many laboratory grade acids in our kitchen, I don't know what advantage the acid resistance of granite with afford, but it's nice to know that it's there. The matte finish is very attractive, but takes some getting use to, after having a bright, super-gloss white cast iron job in there for so long, but the scratches and chips detracted from the original gloss of the porcelain within a couple of years, anyway.
I would like to mention that the service from Home Depot on this order was unparalleled. I ordered the sink over the Internet on Saturday night, and it arrived at my home by Thursday the following week. You couldn't ask for better delivery on something like this sink. In all, I'm very pleased with the sink and the service.
