Love the look well worth the price

Nice looking, well made product.

Unfortunatly i did not listen to my installer and got this wood from honedepot. It was cheaper than other options but you get what you pay for. Wood had a lot of waste but that is not the main problem. Main issue is those unsightly gabs between the boards. My installers did their best to avoid those hence the hugs amount of waste, but still you can see those ugly gabs everywhere you look....

Excellent product and looks even better. Ordered 7 case for a small bedroom and had very little to no waste. Good mix of long and short pieces. I am a diy'er and was very easy to install with the right tools. Have a friend who's a contractor and borrowed his flooring nailer for the job. This was the first time installing hardwood flooring and is very easy to do but is time consuming. My wife is very happy with the look and now wants to do the rest of the bedrooms in the same flooring.

This has to be the best hardwood that I found. My installer was very impressed with the product and stated this is real hardwood, meaning hard to get a nail through. Being a professional installer he kept saying how nice the grain is and the finish. When he trying to nail the last piece at the wall, he needed to drill the hole first then use his nail gun. Highly recommend this for your house. Looks great!

I ordered the Hickory Autumn Wheat flooring for my home office about 6 months ago. I read a few complaints about there being large numbers of defects in previous orders. I let the flooring sit in the room for a few weeks and then started installation. When installing, we opened all of the boxes and found any pieces with defects (warping, scratches, etc) and placed them aside. Overall there weren't too many pieces that were defective and we were able use those pieces on ends where we could cut out the defective portion, resulting in very little waste. 6 months later with a large (80 lbs) dog and these floors still look like new. I haven't noticed any scratches and the color still looks great. I ended up buying more to finish out the main level of my house.

I must strongly recommend against this product. When I purchased it, I understood the product to be random lengths, but there are far too many short pieces. Specifically, I purchased five boxes of this product. The first two were not great in terms of length, but were usable. The third had over thirty pieces less than two feet long and a few longer pieces, with the shortest piece measuring just 9.5" long. Needless to say, it's pretty hard to lay those in a way that doesn't look awful. I contacted the company, concerned that maybe this was just something that had slipped through, but they saw no problem when I described what I had received. I'll be boxing up and returning what I have, and tearing up and discarding what I can't return.

Flooring was shipped fast, packaged to handle easily and installed with no problems. Nothing better than REAL wood.

we put this in master bdrm and hall. used the 10% waste rule and came out prrfect. 1 box of damaged product mostly due to forklift accident. longer boards had some warping but we're usable. overall we are happy with results. price was very good. pic loads upside down.

My wife and I decided to remodel our house and part of it was installing hardwood flooring. We decided on hickory based on the durability and multi-tonal appearance. We put the flooring in our family/dining room as well as our living room. Installation was fairly easy with the right tools and some YouTube videos. We purchased 10% extra for waste based on the recommendations on the Bruce website, however I would recommend more like 20% with this particular flooring. Many of the boards were fairly short, some also had machining damage, and also quite a few had heavy and deep pitting. Overall the quality is pretty good even considering these aspects. When planned properly and installed correctly, the appearance is very rustic and appealing. The feel under foot is very pleasant and it's resistance to damage is fairly high.

I ordered 12 boxes. All the wood look great except for one of the boxes in which some of the wood had some sort of minor damages. I was still able to use most of the wood from this box. After installing the floor it has given the room (bedroom) an elegance which was beyond my expectations. It is very glossy which it highlights the dirt but it is definitely worth it. This was my first time installing hardwood and I am very please with the way it came out. Highly recommend this solid hardwood for its elegance and ease of installation.

I bought 14 boxes. but almost every piece of planks from the 2 particular boxes has circular dents every 6 to 8 inches. see the photo attached. Homedepot does not allow me to return them as my contractor did not realize the scale of the problem until having put down quite a bit of them. Be careful about the quality. Check it before nailing it down.

The product had great color. However, plan on ordering extra due to warping on the long pieces and spotting on the top coat.

Nice floor for the price , I installed 1500 sq ft and took my time selecting the lengths in order to reduce waste (less then 10%).

The installed floor is beautiful and was an excellent value so top marks on both accounts. This type of floor is not for the DIY unless there is a good level of experience going into the project. The quality of pieces overall was average. Of the first 18 cases we ordered we returned a total of 3 cases due to flaws, warping, and damaged tongues and/or groves. So we ordered 4 more and returned one of those. We had enough lead time to do this and not set our project back. Yet if the flooring had arrived two days ahead of installation to acclimate I am sure that a lot of inferior pieces would have been used.

I had gotten an estimate on carpeting and when they told me I would have to empty the room, I decided to do hardwood and move furniture as needed. I ordered 9 boxes and by the time I realized it, too much time had gone by as they delivered 19 boxes. That was my problem for not checking and acting on it. Actually, besides doing the family room, it forced me into doing the long connecting hallway and a breakfast area too. I used 18 boxes and about to open the last box. Iam a 70 year young grandma and I am so proud and LOVE it. Bought the Stapler and borrowed a compressor and the pneumatic nailor from my son inlaw. He brought the items over and left. I was completely on my own doing almost 370 sq ft of flooring. Cut out door jams, put the boards tight and staples in every 6" almost a year ago and I do not have one board creaking. Just finishing up the last room ( 8-13). If you can use a chop saw, anyone can do this and more then worth the time. I am so thrilled at the price, the color and the quality of the flooring. I asked and was kind of pushy for a 2 yr no interest free loan and they gave me 18 months (be persistent as it helps). Absolutely would recommend this. Would offer to help anyone. It was a bargin and so much fun and very rewarding. Everyone who sees it is in awe! Only complaint was Bruce could have a much better quality control. Received lots of damaged peices that were not useable. One box appeared to have been reboxes as I found pencil markings and cut ends. Not fair! Linda in Souderton, PA

Ordered online and had flooring shipped directly to my home. It arrived on time. Had independent contractor install it. Looks great. Very little waste (an occasional board had a slight defect - probably 10 sq. ft. bad out of 1200 sq. ft.).

Even though the product seems to be a bit soft, it does look great. Installation was easy and customer service was very helpful...

It took a little longer to put down because it is only 2 1/4" wide, but it looks beautiful. I ordered 18 boxes and the finish was exactly the same in every box. The random lengths were easy enough to fit in and use, and I actually came out with negative waste in one room. I hope the finish holds up, as it only has a 10 year warranty, but for the price I took the risk.

I enjoy the rich color and variation of the hickory. I would enjoy the finished floor more if I had examined each piece CLOSELY before nailing it down. There are some width variations that were unexpected and unattractive. I would also appreciate having access to a product to repair scuffs and such, but Bruce could only say that I should go to my local paint store and ask them to make a custom stain match.

We installed app 650 sq ft in living room and kitchen, new construction. We had 32 boxes and they all were different lenghts and colors. Some more colorful then others. I took the time to open at least 4-5 boxes at the time and lay out pieces for the guys to nail down. I'm glad I did as it turned out great when done. Took 3 people almost 3 days with all the cuts, kitchen island and such. Ordered 15% more and with few damaged pieces, few not so good looking and cuts we had just enough. Shipping from HD was super fast, few boxes were damaged when the guy took them off but ended up no issue. Can't beat that flooring for that price. Only installed for 6 weeks so can't comment on durability but getting lots of compliments.

I agree with ordering 10% more as each box contains dinged boards, missing tongues or most importantly boards that are milled 1/16-1/8 short (width). The problem is if you don't catch that early your next row has a gap that a floor nailer can't close. Now to the good, the flooring is beautiful. It has WAY more variety than I anticipated. Many boards have dark streaks in them which make for good accent pieces. The wood is very hard and at times stubborn to get parallel with the nailer. That being said, great value and I would buy this product again without question.

I purchased my Hickory Floor from Home Depot and installed in our kitchen. The price and wood quality was exceptional as compared to other stores.

We are so happy with this flooring! It is absolutely beautiful and better than we could have hoped. There were some pieces that had weird spots that looked like water or bleach spots and some planks that were a very odd color compared to the rest, almost a grayish color compared to the warmer colors of the rest but only one of the grayish ones was used. A friend of ours that does home improvements installed it so I couldn't rate on ease of installation but he finished our living room and hallway in less than three days. He kept saying how much he liked it and I was glad he suggested hickory for the different colors of the wood. The installer had said to order 15% more square footage than we measured for bad pieces. We had not even a full box worth left out of 16 boxes of pieces that weren't good or he didn't need to use so not bad. We're extremely happy with it! People posting pictures with their reviews helped us decide so I posted one too. We will see how easily it will scratch but sounds like it's harder than maple or oak and we moved all the furniture back without any scratches. We would highly recommend this flooring!

Easy to install, looks great, We had one bad piece in 15 cartons and it could be cut off to use most of it.

The color is a little darker than the sample picture, but I put in 700 square feet in a living room, dining room and kitchen. There were no problems, a few crooked boards that straightened out when wedged and nailed in. I have only had positive comments in how it looks. Make sure you open multiple boxes many have a lot of long pieces many have shorter pieces. You can avoid a lot of cutting if you are patient and find that piece that fits your opening it will save a lot of waste.

This flooring is beautiful. It is great quality. We installed ourselves and all of the pieces were well made and fit together snugly. The variety of color and size of pieces is wonderful. This floor is my favorite thing in the whole house. Just remember that hickory is very, very hard. That means durable, but it means it is that much harder to drive a nail through to install as well.

Wood was good quality not the finish I needed

The only thing is I thought the floor s its self will be broader in width. But overall, it’s beautiful.
