I owned an Ariens' 60" Max Zoom - Zero Turn - Ridding Mower. It comes with the standard seat. The standard seat will not provide enough comfort, shock absorbing, and protection to your lower back. if you are mowing a large area with uneven and tough terrain you will certainly feel every bump on your lower back. The suspension kit will drastically reduce the impact to your lower back and make ridding on uneven terrain much more comfortable. It works great and it is worth the high price. Save you money on chiropractor visits. Pay careful attention to the instructions for installation since they use small pictures that may or may not match exactly your mower model. If your model have the safety seat - engine stop feature the wiring instructions are a little hard to follow. The instructions pictures are in black and white, can tell which wire is red, blue, green, yellow, or black, they are too small to read, and not label by color neither. It takes trial and error to properly connect the cables together. In my model, black cable goes to black, and red cable connect to blue cable. Last, you may need to adjust your turning side bars to a higher setting. The suspension kit will raised your seat by 2 inches.
