I have owned my 60" Max Zoom for a year, and have absolutely loved it. I was excited to try the mulching kit based on other reviews. The baffles are high quality steel, and installation does take a while but is easy enough to figure out. However, the mulching does not work as described. Instead of grass shooting out the right side with the factory mower chute, grass shoots out all directions with the mulching baffles installed. I have 3 acres with 60+ trees to mow around. The mulching kit was throwing grass out all directions, all over my mulched trees, sidewalks, flower beds, etc. Apparently you can only have about 1/2" of growth, or the mulching blades can't handle the volume and clippings belch out everywhere. I ran them for about 2 hours and was so frustrated, that I took them back off. At least with the factory side chute, I can control where the grass blows. I was really hoping the mulching kit would drop fine clippings in its tracks so I'd no longer have to worry about which direction I mowed around trees and other objects. No such luck, it was 100 times worse, and I ended up sweeping walks which normally needed no sweeping. Now I've got grass clippings all over my hardwood mulched trees and rock flower beds as well. I left the mulching blades on, so basically I ended up with a $180 set of new blades. Very disappointed in the baffles.

Product as stated, high quality and was easy to install. I have only made a test run with the mower in operation, I will follow up later this summer if I feel different after several mowings.

You will never have to rake leaves again, it's the best!! I truly recommend it, my lawn looks beautiful for the winter.

If you have one of these mowers, you've got to get the mulching kit. My mower used to sling stuff -everywhere-, nearly had to wear a mask to cut the grass. This kit all but eliminated that. Only problem is finding replacement blades; they don't stock any replacements in store, but that's true for the standard blades as well. Used for 2 seasons now and ruined 1 set of blades, but man does the yard look good.

We have an Ariens zero turn Max 60 mower and since we added the mulch kit we have not had to bag after we mow ! That saves us a lot of time considering we have over 3 acres to mow ! It was well worth the investment. Only problem we had was getting the last mower blade off, otherwise we would of had it installed in about and hour and a half. The installation drawings could of been a bit less confusing.

I bought this mulch kit at time of purchase of Ariens 60" model #10987 SN # 011*** fit perfect had all parts needed ! Very heavy duty and makes pine cones and limbs into fine mulch I am well pleased with the results I get with this kit and love its end results ! Now I need to find replacement 3 blade kit ? blade # 03367100 still looking ! love this kit performance and material is heavy duty made ! good instructions I installed myself in no time in under 45 min !

Purchased a mulching kit for my Ariens 60" 360 mower. It was easy to put on and I love it. No more piling grass up from the discharge chute. My lawn (3 acres) look so much better and it mulches tree leaves, twigs, etc. leaving the yard looking nice without me having to rake or pick up grass for disposal. Best purchase I ever made.
