It good to see that this has been discontinued. We purchased this one two years ago and the Home Depot told us it was the same as the more recognized name brand sold at Lowes that our neighbor purchased. He bought his the same time and not one issue and our yards are not difficult just flat acre lots. They were completely wrong!!!! It has been in the shop three times and still has major issues. The first thing that was not working was the alternator and was fixed under the warranty, the magnets came unglued according to the servicer provider. So new battery and then it stopped working again. On the third battery for it. The second thing is the front wheel axle. It is designed to break what keeps the wheels from turn too far in and after it was fixed by authorized service provide it is doing it again. It rattles and the hood has come loose as well. The front two wheels had good tire pressure and then go out to mow and both go down and without an intertube it is difficult to get these inflated again since the rim and tire have to be completely off the ground and the tire tight enough for it to seal around the rim. You could not inflate unless you have a air compressor. Will never listen to Home Depot people again and will never purchase this brand again.

When the mower arrived, it took almost an hour to get it off crate. It says you can push it off but you can't. We used a circular saw, crow bar, and sledge hammer to break apart the bottom of the crate but could not push it out. We landed up having to lift it up and wretched my back. Then, after first mow I was not happy with loose hood that flopped around, gas peddle in awkwardly placed so that the reverse peddle digs into our ankle bone, cruise control takes a few attempts to set, and break pedal switch is very flimsy. I also did not like having to set the emergency break every time you get off. It feels like the switch will break easily. I returned this model for the hydrostatic and much happier. This time I had it delivered to store and they took it out of the crate.

i have the 20 hp version, but otherwise it's the same. i got it for 1199.00, so for the money it seems to do an outstanding job. it's the second one i bought, the first i returned because it made an awful banging noise in the engine. it sounded like the piston(s) were gonna come through the hood at any second. the second one i got was in the crate, and i was the only one to start it. i followed the directions and so far so good.

The mower arrived with out a manual, clean up hose attachment, or keys. It took several tries to get just the keys. We finally got a replacement headlight harness. The original one was bad. The battery was from November of 2011 and had a short. I had to go to a local dealer to get that replaced. Once all that was done the mower seems to work fine.

The mower works well, although when I got it, the battery was defective after sitting in a warehouse since May of 2011. After that was straightened out, it mowed my far overgrown lawn with no problems.

I've had this lawn tractor for about 6 months. Two months after purchase the battery would drain while running.I placed a volt meter on the battery cables while the engine was running and it read 12-V. Knowing it should read 14-V when running, I replaced the regulator which was a simple, easy access repair. Although warranty would cover the repair, I did it myself. Since then the tractor runs great. I installed a (Sunpro) Voltage meter and a Fuel gauge on the dash since almost all on my mowing equipment has them. It just makes operating them a little easier.

Delievery was timely and pack arrived in good shape. The instructions seem to be a bit poorly written. Some illustrations point to wrong area of picture for the location of levers. Unpacking was straight forward until the instructs tell you to roll the mower off the crate. It is not possible to roll this off the crate. At least not the one my mower was delivered on. the mower was in at soem 500 lbs and had broken through the slates. You had to left it out and ever the crate edges. Battery was dead, took two hours to charge it. So if curb side delivery means the mower is out on the street away from your charger you will have to pull the battery and take it in to charge. After charging the battery and filling the gas tank it started up easily enough. It took a couple of tries. They did not explain the the start position (choke engaged) means push the throttle up to the top (plus a bit) once you do that and there is gas in the line it starts right away. Mowed and acre plus of damp grass on a sloping hill side with no problems, Turns on a dime. You do have remember that to back up you need to turn off the cutting blades, Killed the mower twice when I forget and but the mower in reverse to back out of a tight spot in the yard. I have a very uneven bumpy back 3 acres and although I have not yet tried to mow this ground I have pulled a small trailer with load over the area with the mower and it worked well. The mower has good traction and is very stable. Overall I am very pleased with the mower.

This is my second Ariens and we love them. I bought this one for my son and family. Very reliable and easy to use.

The product does not perform. It is not well made. The materials and construction are faulty or inferior. I purchased in April. I used it on approximately 6 occassions. It would not start in august. It would not start in October. I have put information in the service section as appropriate. I would not recommend any of thes low end products. This is the most regrettable purchase I have ever made. Can't say enough about not spending your money on this unit.

I love this machine. I didn't even have to move the cutting select lever, it mows the grass at the height I prefer. Boot scootin' and very sharp and tight turn radius.

after riding it.i was so mutvh moore happy. See i got this outta box around fivehundred dollars less than the biggest copeditor. compared to get the same size tractor, deck and engine. but i was so sold on it after the wife took just one lap around the yard. The Ariens runs 5.2 mph... Its (what i call it when bragging to my budies) a Zero Turn in disqquise... highly recomended.

Made by Husquvarna, this tractor has plenty of power and features. Because it is not the brand name, you don't pay the premium price, yet you still get the excellent construction of a great machine.
