I'm not sure yet. We called store and manufacturer to find out what adapter we need to hook up drain and have not received a response. Was told to watch YouTube video and it did not show drain hook up. Frustrated!

Plumbing drain connection problem..
The cone shaped drain hole in the shower pan will not accept a standard plumbing-code-approved drain connection fitting. The existing hole in the fiberglass pan would have to be cut off & then reshape the bottom of the shower pan with fiberglass & wood to create a flat surface to mount an "Oatey brand" fiberglass shower base drain fitting. Then there is a big void left in the top part of the cone which you fill with what, Silicone???
After all of this cutting & reconstruction will it pass code or leak? Will it void the warranty? Most likely. I don't feel that I should have to reengineer & rebuild this shower drain. I was unable to find anyone who could give me any information as to how to install the product to meet plumbing code. I understand after speaking with the distributor that this shower is sold as an "appliance" like a clothes washer. it also has adjustable feet which keeps the shower about 1/2" off of the floor.
