Purchased with the "Architectural Oasis Post-Mount or Column-Mount Locking Mailbox in Black with Outgoing Mail Indicator" mailbox to make a sturdy installation. It matches perfectly to the mount pattern for bolts, BUT did not include any bolts (screws), nuts, or washers! Went back to store and got 4 - 3/8th, 1-inch screws with double lock washers & nuts and this came out to perfect length protruding under box. One bag of quickrete was sufficient securing this 48.3 pound mailbox & post in place....

I purchased this post to go with the mailbox by the same manufacturer. The colors matched exactly, the metal is heavy enough gauge that it is pretty solid and with the paint I do not see a need for maintenance for some time to come. I intend to eventually put a planter or shrubs around it to spiff it up a bit. I haven't measured but am pretty sure a majority of two piece planters will fit around the base when the time comes and that is the route I go. The biggest gripe I would have is that I wish it were a bit taller to allow more of a base to sit in the concrete I put it in. For my local regulations (be sure to check the street proximity and height requirements or your town / neighborhood) a majority of the post needed to be above ground allowing only about 6 inches of post in concrete. Maybe that is enough and maybe I'm just a guy who prefers to overbuild everything? Regardless, now that the 'crete has dried it is solid to the touch and does not wobble at all. Much more sturdy than most wood or plastic posts on the street I'd guess.

My handyman did not want to drill out more concrete so cut 13 inches off bottom of post to install with 'L' brackets to cement. Very sturdy and post with attached mounting plate works perfectly with Oasis Jr. mailbox. Great product. I highly recommend purchasing both together.

Just what I expected, a well-built, heavy-duty post. Not cheap, but worth the money. Set with 90 pounds of cement around and inside the hollow middle, I hope I never back into the thing.

This is the second one that I have purchased and installed. First one was at my previous home and because I was so impressed with it, I decided to put one at my new home.

Easy to put together with the mailbox and very strong.

Sturdy, attractive. If you’re looking for a receptacle for packages, this is not the one. Safety door does not allow for large items. A small package will make it down the chute. If you are focused on securing your everyday mail, however, this box is very secure. Nice curb appeal too.

The mail box looks great and is very sturdy, and secure. Love it!

I ended up with an extra piece that was suggested while ordering (which I need to return) but overall, a very easy setup and replacement. Now we have a great, secure locking mailbox that looks good too! Recommend.

Exactly as described. I used a pressure treated 4x4 to extend the post into ground an additional foot plus a 60# sack of concrete to secure it.

Worked very well with the white double spreader plate and new locked mail box

*** Missing the nuts and bolts that the manual promised! *** We had to drop by our local hardware shop to pick up the missing hardware that was necessary for installing our mailbox. Very frustrating, as this added an extra hour to our installation (+ more dangerous for quarantine).
