Excellent range for our remodel
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Just remodeled our kitchen and updated to this range. Previous one was electric. We wanted gas, more capacity on top and inside the oven. We got all of that with this Architect Series II. The 5 burners are great and the cast iron top makes it look like a professional cooking surface. The Griddle plate is awesome as well, goes right on the grates and works like a dream. The oven space is huge with 3 racks. We have flexibility to cook multiple items and not worry about uneven cooking heat. The True Convection takes care of cooking everything evenly. One caveat, the bottom drawer is not very big. We used to store our pots and pans in the old one and in the Architect Series II we use it for our cookie sheets.

Great for home baking!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We got this a week ago because we liked the idea of two ovens (1smaller), proofing option and sturdy sliding shelf. Love the results!

I abosolutely LOVE my new gas stove.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) My new stove looks fantastic and is a joy to cook with. We both enjoy all of the features. I also have a kitchenaid refrigerator and plan to add a dishwasher eventually. Love it, love it, love it!

        Everything You Need
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I spent quite a bit of time looking at ranges before I settled on this one. What I liked best was the dual ovens, and I was really looking for a convection oven as well, which this has. This range is easy to use, very intuitive controls. The styling and controls sets this apart from other ranges, it looks like it belongs in a kitchen. I especially like the blue enamel interior, I have seen no other ranges that have this!

        GREAT MIDDLE BURNER
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) OVERALL THE STOVE IS STYLISH AND UTILITARIAN BUT THE QUALITY OF THE STAINLESS STEEL IS POOR. IT STAINS AND SCRATCHES EASILY.

        First impression.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) For the first two months in my possession, I have use a portion of the features daily. I love the glass touch display for the top oven to bake my bread. I'm saving the bottom oven for my turkey. The range has a variety of different sizes, two small burners in the back, great for sauce or low heat dishes. One long burner in the middle that I have yet to use. A medium right burner for pan cooking. A larger burner on the left for boiling. My only complain is that the range surface area is smaller that I expected and I cannot use more than two or three burners at a time, depending on the cookware I am using. Overall I feel the quality of my stove will last longer than any of previous stoves I have had in the past.

        Love my new range
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I am very happy with my new 5 burner double oven gas range. I waited a long time to purchase a double oven range and did a lot of research before choosing. The KitchenAid had the most features for the price. Since receiving my range, I've only found a few things I don't like. One is the design of the knobs. The panel where the knobs attach is angled. While it looks nice, it reduces the surface area of the stovetop. You can get 4 pots on there, but they had better not be large ones. I also had to purchase a new 2-burner grill pan because mine would not fit on the top of the range. The burners are bit too easy to turn on. If I lean over the range (not while it's on, of course) to get a pot from the cabinet above, I bump at least one of the knobs and a message begins rolling across the panel telling me to check to see if the burners are off. One other thing that might not apply to anyone else - I live in an area where the power goes out frequently. My previous gas range burners would still operate when lit with a match. Not so with the KitchenAid. No power, no gas. Those issues aside, the range works beautifully and looks just as good. The ovens bake evenly and having 2 ovens is a dream. I will never own a single oven again. The controls are easy to operate and the glass display is easy to clean. Overall, the whole unit is easy to clean for a gas range. I ordered it in white to match my other appliances. I imagine the stainless would be more difficult to clean. The extending rack in the lower oven really makes removing heavy pots easier. I worried it would be difficult as the lower oven really is quite low to the floor. I find that I use the upper oven most often since I'm usually cooking for one. But the lower oven bakes two large trays of cookies evenly with the convection turned on. I don't miss the storage drawer as much as I thought I would, and it was worth losing the drawer to gain another oven. All in all, there are a few small things I would change, but I wouldn't give up my KitchenAid range for anything. Would recommend.

Double or not, here we come
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We have been waiting for some time to get our oven installed. We kept this in the box for almost a year before we were ready. So, far, the only design complaint I have is the top grates, they kind of have a curved outside and I just don't care for that. This was priced right for a double oven, we have not yet used all of the features as of yet, but we are looking to explore all of the cooking options.

        Great Features for the Price
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This purchase replaces a two oven stove we had for twelve years. That was a key factor in choosing this unit because we enjoy the convenience of having two ovens. The unit is sleek and modern in design and it matched our current decor of stainless steel appliances. The range top layout has five burners, although the griddle burner in the middle will work best when no more than two of the other burners are in use. It does come with a small griddle that would never meet the needs of just the two of us and we have a larger one of our own. The elliptical shaped burner will heat the griddle evenly, rather than having to perch it over two conventional burners. The keypad is well designed and has a very clear display panel. Both ovens have a "keep warm" setting which is a nice feature. There is also a setting for proofing bread that we will be trying. Both ovens heat up quickly and hold temperature well. This unit has timers to turn the unit on and then off, that you can set. We found it easy to clean, which is a pleasant surprise for a stainless steel top. There are more features but this gives you a good idea of why we like it.

        Love this range.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This is the best range you never owned. We love the way you can adjust the oven temperature plus or -5°to change the oven temperature to run hotter or cooler. We found our oven set at just 350°was actually 345°. We were able to adjust the temperature of 5°so that the oven cut at the precise temperature needed. We cut a lot of roles cupcakes and they've turned out better with this oven that made it in our last. The temperature is so even though it doesn't really matter where you place the food on the shelf. Or allow you to put two pans of roles on the same shelf and they both the equally.

        You wll love range, oven
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This is an oven that truly meets the needs of a professional Baker. Not only does it have a built-in proofing function for your bread but you can also adjusting oven temperature up to 25 degrees warmer or cooler to have precise temperatures control for when you set your oven at the desired temperature it will be accurate. It also takes the guesswork out of using the true convection oven as it will convert regular baking times and temperatures to the proper time and temperature for convection cooking. Buy it you'll love it.

        Grates are hard to clean
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Grates and area around burner need to be cleaned after every use or they get hard to clean. I learned the hard way and now I am stuck with bad looking grates and burners.

Hoping oven ingniter number four is the charm
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This thing is a bit over three years old. Food prep performance is satisfactory when it works. The oven has had bouts of failing to light and hold temperature culminating with the present third failure including a faulty replacement part. We are forced to freeze food we intended to roast after a few ruined dishes. I would put the food in and walk away to do something else returning 40 minutes later to a gooey, ruined mess. Oven temperature crashed. Refused to relight. Labor and ingredients in the trash. Today is Thursday. The tech told me he can't install the new part until the following Monday. The tech has done his best to hide his irritation at all my calls including telling me on visit number two the unit was 100% operational. Bad feelings on both sides all because Kitchen Aid/Whirlpool cannot be bothered to exercise the meanest scintilla of quality control.

          EXTREMELY SATISFIED
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Was totally surprised how well this "new" gas range cooked. The home I have came with a Electric range and for 15 years hated it LOL.It took a little getting used to it. Especially when preparing stir fry dishes,AND, was surprised how fast those dishes cooked. Give it 10 "thumbs" up !!!!!

          Dangerous and burner valve failure
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Have had this stove for about three years (maybe 4) The valves can be bumped on without the flame igniting and there is no thermocouple to stop the gas from flowing, our dog turned the gas on one day and my wife walked into a house full of gas !!!!!!! Also the burner valves fail and cannot be turned on - we are down to only one working burner with thanksgiving just around the corner. The rack for the upper oven is also too close to the door when it is open, so is difficult to pull out.

            hot knobs!!!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) purchased this range about 6 months ago and had problems from day one. When you bake in the oven the knobs to control the range top get very hot.. I was not able to cook on top while i was baking unless I had gloves on. I burnt myself 2 times. I called kitchen aide 4 times to ask for new knobs and finally the 4th time they sent new ones! I replaced them and now it is fine. Thank you customer service person from my 4th call that finally believed me!!

              Burner Valve failure
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Bought this double oven gas range because I wanted a double oven with gas range when I remodeled the kitchen. Has worked mostly as expected, but had the right front burner valve go out after only 3 years. Should last longer than that. The top is also difficult to keep clean, even if you stay on top of it. The racks in the oven can be difficult to move around.

                Now we're cooking!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This oven is reliable and easy to clean. Cast iron grates are a MUST HAVE! Having to large pieces to clean are somehow much easier than the smaller ones. I find that I don't use the middle burner. I can't fit anything on it when I've got something on another burner. The griddle that comes with the range is perfect for cooking pancakes, sausage, or bacon. The only drawback is that the burners ignite very easily. I bump into one of the knobs while I'm cooking and the burner turns on. I have older kids, so this isn't much of a problem. (Unless we've put a pizza box on the range!) It would be a huge concern if I had little kids.

                KitchenAid gas stove is great!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This is the first time we have bought all KitchenAid appliances for our kitchen. After using them every day for over two years I can say without a doubt they perform as well as they look. The best brand we have ever purchased in the last 40 years!

                Not Happy
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The knobs on the front control panel are too easily turned on just enough to allow the gas to come through but not enough to for the sparkler to start. Have accidentally turned the knobs many times when working near the stove and reaching into the cupboards above or to the sides. Have had to have service work done on the control knobs at least 3 times. Glad we purchased the extended warranty because most of the failures happened after the manufacturer warranty ended. And of course now that the extended warranty is done, we have had the same failure. So now I cannot use the front right burner as it will no longer turn on. Not sure what a service call to repair it will cost. SO NOT HAPPY!

Need to re-learn how to cook with gas
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This gas stove is extremely hot. My pans, Cuisinart Stainless Steel, are great pans and I had no problems with them until the purchase of this stove. The handles get too hot to use without hot pads. The oven is also hotter than my electric range was, and it heats up the kitchen. I'm not sure if this is just because it's a gas range, or because something is not calibrated properly. I also have a problem with the layout of the burners. Both very high-powered, large burners are at the front of the stove, and the medium and small sizes are at the back. I would prefer to have the medium burner at the front because I am fairly short (not quite 5-ft) and it would be easier to cook at my preferred temperature (not so high) if the burner were closer. In talking with others who have gas ranges, this is a common issue for many of us. I've had the stove 3 months and the oven light has already been replaced twice, which seems odd to me. We bought the range to match the refrigerator, purchased 6 months earlier, not realizing that the model would be discontinued. This was the only stove I could find to match when we updated the kitchen in our newly purchased home. Learning to cook with gas is different, but I like many things about it. However, I was spoiled with a ceramic top range with respect to clean up. The gas range is much more difficult to keep clean.

                  Beautiful range
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This range is a dream. The only tiny, less than wonderful comment, is the griddle is sorta small, I can cook hamburgers or a steak for the two of us, but it might not be super helpful for a larger family. Everything is easy to use, love the blue interior in the ovens, which both work flawlessly.
