Great Purchase!
I really am liking the new range , I replaced it from an almost 3 yr old GE Cafe , that was a lemon, Very happy I went with the KA , Yes it is MUCH louder when going on to reach temp and it does a pop sound, But you get used to it, I have more of a problem with a vibrating noise that happens when its cooking , I cant seem to locate where it is coming from to stop it. I also would change the open hole/pipe that the air escapes from in the middle of the burners, I am afraid something will get dropped in there , plus the cover is not coated with any type of feet so that also vibrates, I was very spoiled with being able to put LARGE baking sheet trays in or even average sized sheet trays but with this oven, its not possible , The depth is VERY short compared to a regular oven, there is a huge area behind the stove that it wont go back any farther , I have to find something to cover that area now, last stove was a 30 inch as well but went right up against the wall.It said 27 an 3/8 depth but its only 15 depth for a tray inside, where I was able to use 2 trays on a rack i only can use 1 width wise. these are all little things but I hope to add some good information so KA could become even better. I love my over all stove and would not mind at all too be a KA tester LOL! IF i could change one thing it would be the depth of the stove to go back farther and allow for a longer sheet tray. The warming drawer is terrific!! the controls are great, they do not get scorching hot when the oven is on, and they also have a rubber area on the knobs. I wanted to add another important feature that makes this oven stand out even more...The bottom of the oven , that always gets dripped an burned on COMES OUT!!! Such easy cleaning , I was thrilled to see it lifts up an removes , so there never really is burnt on messes!! Excellent feature Kitchen Aid!!

    Don't do it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not sure how Kitchenaid is screening these reviews but, if your reading this as part of a purchase decision, do yourself a favor and read reviews on other sites. For example, try the largest retailer on the planet. You'll see the 2.5 star truth, which I feel is generous. I just had this range and so-called matching micro hood professionally installed yesterday. When I got home, I couldn't have been more disappointed. The overall design, quality, and value is shockingly poor. Here are a few points I noticed immediately. 1. The handles on the range do not match the micro hood. They are a different shape and color. No mistake. The micro hood is the architect II series as well. 2. The LED clock is so bright, you could read by it at night. It also doesn't match the micro hood clock. It's so bright, you can see the whole control circuit board. 3. The cast iron grate on the right side is warped upward 1/4" in the middle. It's visible from the front of the stove. 4. The knob for the duel burner sticks out further than the other knobs. 5. All igniters come on when turning on a single burner. 6. There is no "high" stop. You have to find the point just after the igniters stop. 7. There are razor sharp edges where paper thin stainless is wrapped around the oven door. 8. The overall quality is very thin cheap feeling. You could fold the warming drawer in half with your bare hands. 9. The cheap chrome bolts with brown plastic pads molded on them for leveling legs are visible from the front. There is no attempt to hide them. Really cheesy. 10. The color of the Kitchenaid logos do not match between the stove and micro hood. They are distinctly different colors. They don't even control their logo color. I just don't know what to say other than while this may be on the lower end for Kitchenaid, if this is any indication of their overall quality, good luck competing long term. I will never, and I mean never, purchase another product with the Kitchenaid brand on it. I hope this helps. I develop products for a living and know the difference between good and poor design and manufacturing quality. This is a really poor example of both in my opinion. Again, check the reviews on the largest retailer on earth. I think you will find it amazing how radical the difference is from this site. Makes you wonder. Sure wish I would have read those first. I understand from those reviews, although I haven't even used the product yet, the right front and left rear burners will barely even boil water and to do so, it takes an excessively long time.

Dear Dodadnules: Thank you for your response. We do reach out to our consumers via telephone for a more personable experience, but being that your concern is more of a design concern an email may be more favorable. Unfortunately, there is no way to change the design of the products. However, if you feel that the unit is not working as designed, we suggest for an accurate diagnosis and satisfactory addressing of any malfunctioning component that may be contributing to your concern that you contact our Customer Experience Center at 1-800-253-1301. It is through customer feedback that we are able to correct, and make changes to, our products in respect to their quality and overall design. KitchenAid understands that valued customers, like you, are why we are in business. We sincerely regret the frustration and inconvenience you experienced, and we can be of no other assistance with this concern except to forward a copy of your concerns to the appropriate departments for review in future design consideration. Great Range
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We remodeled our kitchen a few months ago and after a lot of research and review reading, we chose KitchenAid. This is our first stainless suite and my husband and I both love the look. Performance is spot on. Our kitchen, dining and living space are all in one, the great room concept, so looks, performance and noise level are considerations. This slide in range has such a great look for the price and the performance is awesome. I am used to cooking with Duel Fuel so I was skeptical. The gas ovens I used decades ago put out so much heat with uneven cooking results, I dreaded my first cooking experience with this new oven. I pulled out some tried and true recipes and I fired up the new oven and much to my delight I got perfect cooking results! I got even cooking and even browning. With electronic touch pads and convection options an oven is going to have a fan. Some are louder than others, however I don't find the fan noise on this unit to be obtrusive. The cook top and BTUs give me everything I need. The surface under the burners is black, not stainless...works for me. I have not used the warming drawer yet, but it should come in handy for the holidays. I cook a lot and I wanted a range that performed. This one does!

good and sleek looking, easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm enjoying this new range a lot. However, the grates on top of the burners are a little uneven causing my pots and pans to wobble slightly. My appliance salesperson ordered new ones but they are also uneven in exactly the same spot. The convection oven option seems to overcook my baked items on one side - I no longer use the "convection option". The controls are a little too sensitive but I'm getting used to them. I LOVE the warming drawer.

          nice range, poor quality grills
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I was excited to get this almost new oven/grill with my home, but the cast iron grills are cracked. Replacement grills come in different finishes on either one side or the other and appear to already be discontinued. Very dissapointed in serviceability and lack of support from the parts end of things.

              Best range I've ever used
I bought this nearly 5 years ago. I am thrilled with it. The oven is dual fuel although it wasn't advertised as such. It is easy to clean; easy to use; cooks well; looks fabulous. Another surprise feature is the wok holder... just turn the left front grate over and set your wok into it for delicious stir fried quick dish.

                Great range
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I had to replace my range that I really liked, and was no longer made. , I had seriously doubted I would find one I liked as much, nor would I find one that would slide in properly in my granite counter tops. This range fit right in, looks great, and I am still learning how to use all the features it has. Great product, great price; I couldn't be happier with my new range. Now I finally have all Kitchenaid appliances in my kitchen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice looking, love the way it works. So simple to use. Wish the grates were not so heavy. It would make it so much easier to clean the stove top. Over all a great product.

                Happy with range
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thus far we are delighted with this range. Apparently all "slide in ranges" are more expensive then their counterparts. All features are sensical i.e. flip over burner grate to hold a wok and placement of different burner types on range. Oven "clicks" quite a bit when igniting and maintaining temperature.Easy to clean and attractive finish.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stove beeps as the controls are in the front. Grates are high off burner and it takes a long time to even boil water. Grates are heavy and scratch bottom of pans. Popping noise when oven is lit. There are pleanty of other good stoves on the market. Stay away from this model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Promising quality as all other kitchenAid products, happy to have it in my kitchenAid collection. Only one issue that I found it sometimes hard to turn on the gas stove.

My new Kitchen Aid slide-in range
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am enjoying my new range, especially the convection baking feature. There are four issues that I have with my new range: 1. I can just barely touch the oven control, and the various features come on. Of course, I can turn them off easily enough, but it's an annoyance. 2. The front right burner will not always activate when I turn it on, and I have to use a candle lighter to turn it on. My husband also has this problem when he uses the stove. At first I thought we were just not yet accustomed to the new range, but we have had no problem with the other three burners. 3. I have gotten something on one of the surface burners and the burner grates, and nothing with which I have tried to clean it will get it off so it is noticeable. I have used Barkeeper's Friend which is always very effective with other things. Nonabrasive plastic scrubbers are not effective. 4. I would have liked to have had another triple tier burner. I usually have to use more than one large pan when I cook. I am very happy with the way my range performs, and I like the simplicity of cleaning the porcelain top. If you have suggestions in addition to those in the manual for cleaning the grates and the burner, I would love to have them. Thank you Glenda Simmons

                  terrible service
I bought this over a month ago and it was delivered with a scratch and a burner that had some brown sticky stuff on the main burner. The burner grate on the left was broke. They has service replace it and it was the wrong one. A replacement was ordered over 6 weeks ago and still do not have it. Bought this product Slyman Brothers in St. Louis Mo.

                                    Worst ever!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I regret not writing a review when I purchased this two years ago.I have had several different ranges over the years including gas and electric, brand name and no-name, and at least five in rental apartments. I updated all my appliances and, partly due to the fact my mother was a big KitchenAid fan in the past and the brand's overall reputation, I purchased this model. Without exaggeration, I can say this is the WORST oven I have ever used. It has routinely disappointed. The burners take 20 minutes to boil water; basically everything you read in the negative reviews is true. I can't afford to replace it. I've essentially stopped cooking as much due to the poor performance of this range! Additionally, the microwave is worse than my Sharp countertop I had in college.
