Shopped quite a bit for an awning for the door of our rental. This one looked perfect -- goes with light -- and turns out to be perfect, too. Design is impressive: back bracket holds the acrylic sheet perfectly and has a rubber gasket to keep rain out, front has built-in gutter to push rain to each side. Was not hard to install or put together. We placed the brackets so they could be easily installed into wood. You need some math skills and a good hacksaw to make that work -- it's doable!

I installed it on a wooden shed, see photo. I cut the filler bar (it's cosmetic) so that I could change the support bar spacing. But the small sections that I cut off back in on the ends. Basically you can reposition the support bars.

These awnings are unique and very attractive! No more steel awnings that block window view.

Added two sections off the end of our deck to cover part of the patio below. I was impressed with the overall quality of the product. The one thing that was a pan, was installing the plastic trim between the two panels. Can't wait to see how they preform!

Only took about 1.5hrs to install and thats because I took my time. Well made, and well designed. I was going into a wooden house so I used shorter lag bolts than the ones included. It will keep the weather from destroying my door and not interfear with my view. If I like it over time, I will order more for some windows too.

End result is excellent. I had professional construction contractors install it. It was a little fiddly in terms of connecting the join but we got past all of that and it looks terrific now

Really like the look! And it bridges the gap between a retractable awning and the sunroom door very nicely with minimal visual impact.

We bought this awning for its design. Goes well with our home. We’ve replaced our screen door 3 times because of water damage. Hopefully this awning will prevent that.

My only complaint is with the shipping. Box was torn. (see Photo) The canape was relatively E/Z to install

The installation is not easy and you need a contractor to do it.

Delivery was on time. Product is as described. Great quality, it is sturdy - especially the brackets holding the pieces. It serves it purpose; however, it doesn't not eliminates rain 100% from hitting the door when it is windy/thunder storm. It does look really nice and elegant.

Overall very satisfied with this product. The directions could have been a bit clearer for a novice like myself! Would definitely recommend.....looks great over my door!

Easy to install .2 people are not needed but always helpful to have a 2nd person to hand parts to person on the ladder.

We bought and had installed this awning two months ago; love the look but the gasket that is on the front gutter kept on working it way loose to the point of breaking off a 2 inch piece . Contacted Palram, about getting a new gasket since this was only 2 months old; they wanted me to pay $40.00 for a new gasket plus $12.00 for shipping $52.00 for a gasket on something new ??? Not what I really want to do...... Next offer was I just have to pay shipping still this does not make me happy to put out money on something new.

I purchased this awning a few months ago and just installed. It looks great and seems very solid. Was not that difficult to install but needed two people for installing the plexiglass cover. Though some other brands may cost less, but after I did my research, this brand seemed the best value and I was right.

I really like the Aquilla 3000. It covers the front door and porch area so I can get the door open in the rain. It adds function to the area without becoming the center of attention. Very appealing and have had a lot of compliments on the awning.

The product came packaged appropriately and on time. It was a little challenging to put together and install over my patio door. However, it looks great and I am happy with the quality of the awning. Not sure how exactly it drains the rain fall but it definitely protects it. It looks great and does the job well. I would recommend this product.

My wife and I recently purchased this awning for our back porch. We have been very impressed with this product. The awning was easy to install and has done an excellent job of providing cover over the door to the porch.

Had an ugly aluminum awning over the side entry. This looks so much better installed- the photos on this website are not indicative of what you can do with this awning. Almost has an industrial look on the website but check out my photo It's sturdy and attractive, my neighbors even commented on how beautiful it looks

We love this awning. It was easy to put up and it looks great. Nobody else has this kind of awning in our neighborhood and they loved it. It's Very modern looking, Unique!

I had a problem with rain and snow melt running off the roof and down your back when entering the side door of the garage. This runoff created an ice hazard on the sidewalk. I had to cut a few pieces of wood to fill the spacing in the log siding, this gave me a flat surface for mounting. The installation of this product was reasonable and what I expected for a canopy of this size. Due to its size make sure to have a helper to lift the large poly carbonate panel over your head. Thrilled with this product and looks great.

I get a lot of direct sunlight at the front of my home and have noticed that all that heat warps the plexi portion of the awning. It creates a sunken area in the middle of the awning so when it rains, the water just sits there. A year after owning this, the plexi popped out of the front of the frame - probably due to the plexi warping. When contacting the manufacturer I got great customer service. They informed me that this should be able to be put back into place. Now I just need to find someone to help me do that because it's impossible for one person to do. If you get a lot of direct sunlight at your front door where you're thinking of installing this awning, I caution you on buying this product.

I was looking to have awning installed above my patio door. I had an idea of what I wanted - when I saw this product I knew this was exactly what I had in mind. 2 people spent around 4 hours installing it. We did installation over vinyl siding. We needed to estimate length of bolts to be used, taking into account thickness of exterior insulation, sheeting etc. Instructions (pictorial) could have a bit more hints and guidance. For example, when we could not pull a seal through profile due to friction we had to use soapy water and that did the trick. Overall, we are very happy with results.

If you like the modern look, the design of this awning is sure to please. After install, it rained later that day, so can attest that the water run off works as advertised (it flows off each corner) - but that in itself can be a negative if approaching from the side. The hardware (screws) are junk. Your screw gun will strip them, so watch out. Installation is tough if not impossible for one person, so you'll need a helper when it comes to mounting the 8ft x 4ft plexiglass sheet on the top. Reaching over the plexiglass to screw in the middle mount points requires leaning over the plexiglass to make the full reach, and you'll end up scratching it somewhat. But that's probably going to happen to that surface over time anyway (with leaves, sticks and twigs in a wind storm for example . . . . ) You may experience some real hassles if you're unable to definitively align the mounting point to wood studs behind the outer surface of your exterior wall. For stucco, the anchors provided are out of the question. I mounted a 2x8 ledger board to studs, then mounted the awning to that instead. Extra work. Like I say, installation is a headache. Proceed with proper attitude and caution :)

Easy to install and product looks great. I hope it supports the weight of the snow.

I have been looking for an awning solution that would serve the purpose of preventing snow/ice build up behind my outside split unit heat pumps so they could work properly to heat my home in the Winter and allow them to not overheat in the summer while air conditioning my home. This product came in the width and depth I needed to do just that, plus is attractive so it is not an eyesore. Another requirement was to be easily modified to cutout a section for some piping and downspouts that were on the side of my house just behind the split units. The awning maker customer service was quick in responding to my question on how to cut out the section I needed.for mounting the awning against the house.while properly covering my HVAC split units. They came back stating all I needed was a utility knife to cut the clear awning part. This is not to say the material is flimsy, it is how you make a score mark in Polycarbonate. I did a search on the internet for how to do this. As the section I wanted to cut out was not an end piece, I wound up using a jig saw. Worked perfectly,. See image. The mounting instructions are pictorial and with great detail. The mounting brackets are heavy and look like they are powder coated. Be sure to secure firmly against your wall. Once mounted, and all parts are assembled, it is very rigid and secure, One other feature I like is it is designed to have the rain water diverted to the side, not drip straight off the front. I am sure it will serve its function for many years (if not decades!). Do not hesitate to purchase, well worth the price. See images.

Easy to install and strong

Very hard to put together and flimsy material. It was extremely hard to put the joint in between the two awnings. Yes these are two separate awnings that basically are sold as one with a flimsy plastic joint in addition for you to attach them. Definitely not worth this extortionate price and add at least 300 dollars if you are hiring a team of two to install it. I need two other awnings and will certainly not buy this again.
