I applied it with rags instead of a brush. I started to use a circular motion as recommended, and then changed it to straight lines, due to the chalk paint being a dark color and the wax was very visible. When it dried, it was acceptable. It sealed the chalk paint well and I'm happy with the results on my first filing cabinet re-do. The paint and wax containers were just the right size.

I have used this on a tv tray and a lamp i painted wirh chalk paint! On borh itema i noticed it was removing the chalk paint! The TV tray I started noticing that my brush was pink which was the color of the chalk paint I used and the lamp I redid I started noticing on the edges it was taking the paint off! I let both pieces dry for a good 12 to 14 hours before I used to the wax Cream which maybe I was supposed to let it dry longer but I did a curbside pick up with Home Depot and they put my order Sticker on the container so I couldn’t even read the directions! I did uae a wax bruah!

I used this over a chalk paint on some old furniture. It worked well. This was my first time using this product my furniture came out great.

Great for craft projects! I up-cycled a pair of vintage ceramic table lamps and created 2 unique Urns or small storage containers with just a tiny bit of bling!

When I first started chalk painting a few years back, I was a full-on DIY-er, making the paint by mixing calcium carbonate and latex paint. When I found the Americana line, I stopped the DIY-ing, because it is that good, imo. What I like about the creme wax is that it is very easy to work with and dries pretty fast. I use a round waxing brush most of the time, although you can use a rag, which works well when you're working with small rounded surfaces. You can also tint the creme wax with other chalk paint colors, or to tone down the dark wax, which is fun, and something you can't do with paste waxes (that also speeds up the process by eliminating an extra coat of paint). My latest work was a pair of lamps that I painted in the Carbon color, then waxed with the clear creme wax, followed by a mixture of dark wax, the Romance (red) chalk paint, and a bit of the Carbon color. See the photos for the end result, which gave the pieces the look of oiled metal, just what I was looking for.

The fact that you can change a piece of furniture in a day to look this good is amazing. We have updated our home with so many pieces we already had and the cost was so little. What a product!

I used this product along with the chalk paint. First time using them and it created that shabby chic look that I wanted. Found an abandoned table on the side of the street, brought it home and worked magic with these products. I definitely recommend!

I refinished an antique door and after using wood conditioner, I loved the colour so didn’t want to use stain or polyurethane because I didn’t want it to look shiny. This was perfect, look great!

The wax is too sticky and takes too long to dry.

I bought this for a bench I recently painted and distressed and it worked out great! Still have a ton left for any other projects coming up.

Love this paint for glass.

Perfect the job I was doing! Painted an old brown hutch and made it cream with a distressed finished look. Love it!

Completely changed color of the piece I was painting. If you are using over white, would not recommend.

Very easy to work with

I returned it because it rubs off the paint when you apply it even going lightly. I decided to use polycrylic instead.
