This is definately an upgrade in looks from the 1970's yellow toilet that this replaced. The installation kit is almost perfect. Someone finally came up with the great idea for this kit to put a washer/nut on the flange bolts to keep them from wobbling and hold them in place while installing the bowl. I feel that you could probably get by with that washer, but I added a slightly larger ones to make sure it held. I fit a drinking straw over each flange bolt to help me guide them through the toilet bowl holes. I really loved that all the inner tank workings were already installed (a big time saver!). Also I like the tri-head nut that screws the bowl to the flange, very easy to install and the cover caps fit perfectly. In fact I found the entire installation not only easier than I had imagined but trouble free. I've had bad luck replacing the wax seals before and was a little gun shy. After installing the tank to the bowl I found no leaks. Same with the bowl to flange. No leaks anywhere. I had my doubts about its flushing ability with such a small tank. While the bulk of the waste is removed in one flush, it does leave streaks in the bowl that have to be cleaned. All in all I'm pretty happy with this toilet.

BEWARE Very cheap and flimsy, tank came cracked in shipping, returned, second tank also developed a hairline crack. Possible flood if the tank splits while you are not home. Not worth saving a few bucks. Most of the toilets I see sold now at big box stores are very cheaply made.

Bought two. One replaced a 50 year old but good toilet and the other one replaced a newer American standard about 5 years old. This one looks the same as the 5 year old AS but has a much better flushing system. The other one would not wash the side of the bowl well as the new seems to do. The new one seems to work as well as the 50 year old one but uses a lot less water.

Contrary to American Standard's and Home Depot's online response to peoples' question there is a wax ring provided with this toilet. I like the toolkit and materials provided for the easy peasey install. I like that A/S provides a hand tool to tighten the nuts on the tank and the plastic nuts provided to tighten the toilet/flange bolts. The caps simply snap onto the flange bolts when they're all tightened down. The tank, once tightened down, will wobble slightly if bumped because there are only two bolts holding the tank to the toilet..

It was easy install. Good quality. Only complaint is that the box says no more clog. It does ok until a 6 year old gets to it. The problem is that it uses only 1/3 of tank volume per flush which is fast most of poops will go down. Solution i found. Is hold down the flush handle so that all the tank capacity is used resulting in more flow to getthe poop out of toilet. So far so good.

I had the American Standard toilet sent to my local HD and the box was open and when I checked the condition it was obviously a previous return because there red markings and the glaze was thin on the rim . . Also there was no instruction manual enclosed either . Bought a Glacier Bay instead and I’m very happy !!

The Cadet American Standard toilet is of solid construction and looks great. It is a good replacement for my American Standard of fifty years ago. The bone color works fine in my pink 70s bathroom.

Our biggest kiddo is only seven and clogged our old toilet daily...it was bad enough and we were having panic attacks about what would happen when she's a teen! This toilet is a godsend- not a single clog since purchase a month ago- and really, nary a skidmark on the sides. Boom- if a body can produce it- this can can flush it- even with reams of toilet paper. Totally recommend.

Short delay in shipping due to holidays and Covid, but delighted with toilet once it arrived and was installed. Highly recommend!

The 2nd order came in one piece not broken this time but it was a used tank. I was in dire need so still had it installed.

My customer had a Cadet 3 and chose to pay $150 more for the bone color to match the second bathroom because of the flushing performance.

Great service, great toilet

well made, water saver feature. Two buttons on top of the tank. One for just urine since it doesn't require as much water to flush.

This toilet is amazing. All the mechanics in place, all you have to do is set on the rubber ring. Flushes powerful and silent. I love it. Worth every penny.
