Cold water frozen and hot water starting to freeze
Went to remove them and low and behold you can't remove the faucet from the deck adapter. I am very close to taking a saw and cutting it off. I will never purchase American Standard again after dealing with this horrible design.

Corroded after 2 years
Plumber is cutting this out of my bathroom as we speak because the left side faucet has corroded from leaking.

stiff hot water handle
Have had this tap for 5 years. The hot water handle is stiff and only goes to 1/2 way on. Trying to remove the handle assembly from the deck valve body is proving to be impossible.

Faucets very hard to align
Following the directions pertaining to thread height above the sink top surface on faucet body resulted in the faucet handles not seating onto the surface. Either the spline spacers are too long or the dimensions are incorrect. Rubber gaskets around the faucet body constantly shift during installation making alignment a nightmare.

Faucet
Heavy brass -- very nice quality and I like the way it looks on the Pegasus glass vanity top! I'm very happy with my choice, but it didn't come with a pop up drain -- I had to spend an extra $50 for that. The faucet came with the standard old fashioned mechanical pull-up handle at the back of the faucet spigot which is now vestigial (doesn't work with the pop up).

simple elegance from a reliable brand
We purchased this faucet to install on our new granite vanity top. It has simple lines which makes it easy to clean (no fussy details) but yet it is still classy looking. The handles move nicely and the faucet feels solid unlike some of the cheaper brands. We have purchased American Standard in the past and have always had good luck.

I would buy this faucet again
My second American Standard faucet to replace other dripping faucets from a nationally known manufacturer. Great directions typical installation, great drain hookups.
